My Easter

Oh boy was my Easter FANTASTIC!! There was so much land for me to visit and so many people for me to torment I was busy the entire time, and lets not forget all the human food I got into, cream puffs and dips, and ham, and a ton of other yummy stuff. We even brought some home for my mommy and my brothers to enjoy. As Easter was winding down at our family party my bug guys phone rang and it was my mommy, work had let her out (after only 2 hours and forty-five minutes, yup she missed all of Easter to get paid for under three hours), and arrived home to find herself locked out, see the family copy of the house key went missing and grandma and grandpa haven't gotten off their butts to get a new one, so as of now the only key to the house in on grandpa's key ring, and of course he had taken it with him to Grand Island for god knows what reason which made mommy quite mad, she ended up having to break in through my mamie's bedroom window, in her work uniform crawling around in mud and dust and disgusting-ness, but all-in-all she got in, and got changed into more comfortable clothing just a few minutes before we returned home with her dinner. I came home one very partied out little guy so when mommy took off after dinner she opted to leave me home to rest rather than party some more, typically I would have cared, but last night I was just too sleepy to really notice.

Today has been a pretty good day too! It's mommy's 21st birthday today so at midnight last night I gave her the prezzie I made her... a collage of pictures of myself in a frame that I had mamie write "Happy 21st Birthday, Love Puck" on, mommy says she loves it and she's gonna hang it on her wall! She's got a pretty busy day ahead of her so I'm gonna be spending lots of time with mamie and big guy, but I don't mind because I love being home with them and my brothers to play with!!

Alright I'm off to see if I can cause some trouble!!

HAPPY EASTER!

Today is Easter, and I get to PARTY!!!! We're supposed to be to our family get together at about 2pm, I guess that means I have about three long hours before I can get there but that's plenty of time for me to terrorize the house, power nap, terrorize some more, change into my bow tie, get all packed up into my carrier, and head on out, so I guess I'll be keeping busy til then. Sadly my mommy has to work today, she's not happy about it and frankly neither are the rest of us, it's a holiday, she should be with her family, not taking care of snooty people who think the world revolves around them and don't take the time to realize that all of the people taking care of them at the restaurant are doing so at the expense of their own family time, so please if you're going to a restaurant for lunch or dinner today, just take the time to remember that all of the staff you see is missing their own family stuff to make your holiday great... mommy always says the nice customers make the day fun, but the rude ones just make it that much worse.

I partied again last night at mommy's boyfriends house! All of the same people were there but I still got super excited, there were chips and dip and everything, I tried like mad to score one but I failed because they all know how bad chips are for me, bad or not they taste good and I always want them. Even with all that excitement though, I had NO accidents in the house, I peed on my pee pad instead, mommy was so proud she gave me a treat!! We came home relatively early last night but I was still such a tired lil guy that I didn't wake up until almost 10:30 this morning... ya know what that means? It means I'm gonna have tons of energy and be very hyper at the party today!!!!!

Alright well I'm off to be a monster for a bit, terrorize as much as I can, nap, and probably eat before heading out for the day! HAPPY EASTER (passover, etc. etc.) EVERYONE!!

I guess I'm a party pup

Last night when mommy came home from work it was off to her boyfriends house for what I thought was just going to be the typical visit with him and his parents and little brother... when I got there it wasn't much different than I had anticipated, but boy oh boy did that change. Right in the middle of my little nap on the couch the front door flew open and all kinds of people came in, I met three or four new people last night! I absolutely love meeting new people and even though I was one very tired little guy I fought back my fatigue and stayed awake to play and be nosey in all of their business and cool things they did, mommy kept me out until about 1am... that's late for me, and then I stayed awake at home until about 2:30am, this all would have been fine and dandy if I got to sleep in but mommy had to be back to work by 10:30 this morning so by 8:30 we were getting up and moving, I had ZERO energy, I curled up in big guys blanket and started to fall asleep, then I moved to mamie's blanket and it became quite clear how sleepy I really was when I didn't even bother to chew her make-up brushes or attack Tommy the tissue, my mommy even left without me even trying to follow her out the door. I puppy power napped quite a bit today and I guess that's a good thing because I may end up back out tonight, and I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow!

Welp, tomorrow is Easter and boy am I pumped, not so pumped about the bath I got when mommy returned from work today, but pumped about everything else. I'm off to another family members house tomorrow with my grandma, grandpa, mamie, big guy, and unkie jay... that alone excites me but from what I hear there is going to be quite a few other people in the house too, including children!!! I heard quite a bit about getting spoiled, and loved, and played with, and oh boy I can hardly contain myself, I'm gonna need lots of rest tonight!

Alright I'm off to prepare by bow tie for tomorrow's festivities, and take a power nap in case I do end up out again tonight!!

PS. My naughty-ness continued last night... I managed to forget about my pee pad while visiting mommy's boyfriend and ended up whittling and leaving a stinky gift on the carpet... mommy was non-too-thrilled with me at all, but I say "hey, it's all the excitement and new people."

My mysterious owie, insulted, and my being naughty

Well, last night I got another owie, but this one is mysterious as nobody knows what really happened. I was in the potty with mamie gearing up for one of my nightly showers, was playing as usual, chasing my tail, running the puggy hundred around the room when all of a sudden I erupted in screams of pain, mamie stopped what she was doing, mommy came running into the bathroom, and even grandma poked her head out to see what happened, nobody could figure it out. Mamie gave me to mommy to check over my paws and make sure I didn't step on something or have something caught, but there was nothing there, mamie couldn't even find anything on the floor besides some hair and what not. I didn't stay injured for long though, once I stopped screaming it was right back to play time for me as I attacked my stuffed dog on the bed, ran laps around the house, and tormented both my older brothers... I guess nobody will ever know what really made me scream.

In other news I was INSULTED today. My very own mamie called me FUNNY LOOKING, said I was cute when I was little but that I am completely funny looking now... PSH, perhaps she should look at her own dog in the mirror, Meatball is pretty funny looking if you ask me, big head, chubby tummy, and his eyes are just like mine they point in different directions yeah Meatball's the funny looking one, I'm the new family stud, she's just jealous. :-P

I've been a smidge naughty these days, I keep climbing into the garbage can to pull out tissues and chew them to pieces, and I've had a few accidents in the house, including one in the kitchen, ick. I say neither of those are my fault though, see these people torment me with tissues, wiping away my eye boogies and what not so I think they're just a toy, it's not my fault I have to go into the garbage can to retrieve them, and as far as the accidents go, I blame mother nature... I got very used to going outside every so often to do my business and now because it's been so cold I haven't been able to, sure I SHOULD still be using my pee pee pads, but I'm rebelling, trying to teach dear old mother nature a lesson for all of us, perhaps my lesson would be more effective if mother nature actually had to clean up my little accidents rather than my mommy though.

Alright I'm quite sleepy at the moment so I'm gonna go take a quick pucker power nap!

Snow?!

Welp, the weatherman wasn't lying... completely. The storm they predicted was blown pretty far out of proportion as they made it seem as though it was going to kick our butts and even said it would rival something called the October Storm of 2006, I wasn't around for that storm but from what I understand it was quite a mess and once those words came out of the weatherman's mouth people went into panic mode, bug guy and mamie started picking things up off the floor of the basement and everything. Little did we all know, the storm would not be near that bad. Sure yesterday started out with rain, then sleet/hail, then snow, and we're getting a little more snow now, but it has in no way been the horrible, we've got under an inch of patchy accumulation and that's about it... it's not even really enough to make my brother Ozzy happy.

I still haven't been able to do too much of my business outside as it has been pretty cold, I believe the thermometer is sitting at 29 degrees right now, and that's WARMER than it was earlier, so I've been a pee pad boy so here's my plea:

Dear Mother Nature,
Do you realize it is April? By now we should have a little bit warmer temperatures, NO SNOW , and some sunshine! I believe either the snow should stop or it should be Christmas again, please make your choice asap.

My first ever real owie

Last night it happened, my first ever real owie, I don't mean just being stepped on by the big boys, I mean a real owie.

Mamie was cutting my nails and I decided I didn't want to hold still, and bam she clipped too deep and I let out a little yelp, and started to bleed. Big guy went into panic mode immediately saying there was a lot of blood and that it had even dripped on the couch, but mamie calmly scooped me up, placed my paw in a tissue and then some blue powder stuff, gave me a Texas taffy to chew on and I slowly stopped bleeding. After my bleeding was under control mommy and mamie wrapped my paw up in a vaseline coated gauze pad, put a little blue baby sock over it so that I could catch it on anything and I was good to go, flaunting my little "cast" to everyone as I had difficulty moving around the house without slipping and sliding. The "cast" didn't last long as Ozzy stepped on it and pulled it right off, mamie thinks it was an accident, but Ozzy was actually doing me a favor and holding the sock and stuff to the floor while I knowingly pulled my little paw out, I was free at last! Thanks Ozzy!!

I LOVE Long Walks

Where should I begin? Oh I know, with a sentiment to my mommy. My mommy made a comment last night that I don't know I am her dog and don't even remember her because she works so much, and I just wanted to make it well known that I WUV my mommy and could never forget about her, I just like being downstairs because the big boys are down there for me to torment, and mamie is down there to "let me" into the laundry room to eat dryer sheets! So, to sum it all up, I WUV my MOMMY!!

Today was a nicer day here in Buffalo which was great because these last few days I've had to be a pee pad boy because the weather has been atrocious, we've discovered I don't like the wind because I blow around like a tumbleweed, I'm not a fan of heavy rain, and I get cold very easily, even in my sweater. Imagine my surprise when today was warm enough for me to not only do my business out there, but go for a long walk. Mommy was working so my grandma and my mamie took me out around our development! I absolutely love those walks, there's so many neat smells, cool places to investigate, and plenty of leaves and tree limbs for me to chase, pounce on, and eat. What made my walk even better today was something I never expected... mommy got out of work early and was driving down a street that we were walking up, I got to go through the car window, say my hello, and then continue my walk, what a fantastic little day I had!!!

Sadly it's being said that our weather is taking a turn for the worse these next couple of days... the weather man even said not to put away our snow blowers yet... that's right ladies and gents SNOW is in the forecast for the next couple of days, and I'm not talking just a dusting here or there on some plants and windows, I'm talking SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL, we even have a winter weather watch from Tomorrow-Tuesday. Boy how I just adore living in Buffalo, I go from outside boy to pee pad boy, back to outside boy, and now I'm getting flipping snow... my brother Ozzy is thrilled, but I however, am not.

Mommy is off these next couple of days which thrills me to no end... I have to enjoy them though because after Tuesday she's working straight through til next Monday with a couple double shifts mixed in and everything. Sometimes I wish I could go to work with her, but I'm told it's against some kind of health code because she works with lots of people and good, I say PSH, they'll adore me, look at my little face.

Before I go I have to give a shout out to my Unkie Jay... he had a second interview at good old Red Lobster with my sister and has since found out he GOT THE JOB, my mommy and my unkie will be working together, again!!! CONGRATS UNKIE JAY!!

Alright I'm off to beg ham and cheese from mamie, and torment my older brothers!!

Time to break out the bow tie

Welp, it's time for my mommy to bust out my bow tie and possibly buy me a tux so I can dress like the little gentleman that I am cuz I have been invited to Easter dinner! Easter dinner is at my mommy's godmother's house and even though mommy has to work the rest of the family, myself included will be attending, the thought is that the kids will absolutely love me, and boy oh boy will I absolutely love them! I don't know what exactly Easter is, but I guess I'm gonna find out, and mommy said this also means the Easter Bunny is gonna come leave me some goodies to find when I wake up on Easter morning, how super exciting is that?!

In other news, the weather yesterday was beautiful and my mommy was off so I spent lots of time outside, and even went for a long walk with my mommy AND my mamie! On top of all that I got a new sweater, a new tag, and a yogurt dipped cookie from the pet spa! What more could a pupper ask for.

Today was not so nice, it was warm but rained all day, and I am not a fan of the rain, so each time I went outside it was strictly to do my business and run right back into the house, no play time out there for me, tomorrow is supposed to be better though!

I just watched my beloved Sabres fall to Atlanta in over-time, this all but eliminates them from the playoffs as they'd have to win all six of their remaining games and then still wouldn't be guaranteed a spot without somebody losing and blah blah blah. Oh well though, if the miracle happens and they make it I'll be one happy pup, but if not, better luck next season boys!

I heard mommy say something about Yankees season being right around the corner and buying me a Yankees collar, maybe I'll be of some good luck to them... WORLD SERIES HERE WE COME!!!!!

What's New in Puck Land?

Well, I went back to my vet early last Friday and he gave me a full once over to make sure I am still a healthy little pug. He still really likes the way my eye is looking and said with time the remaining cloudy-ness will go away and he thinks I will be completely fine! He also gave me my final puppy shot, so I'm done with the vet for a TWO months!!! I'm so used to being there every week or so that I may miss it.

When I got home from the vet I got to spend much of my day outside! Big guy was fixing some siding, mamie was in her gardens, and mommy was cleaning her car. I got to sit up in the front yard without even wearing a sweater and dig in the dirt, chase leaves and bugs, bark at the garbage men, all for hours! We came in a little bit for dinner, and mommy to leave for work and then mamie had me right back out there while she worked on her back gardens, there were all new leaves and bugs to chase back there!! Mamie was out there for so long that I became one sleepy little dude, but continued to try and fight it, my grandma laughed at me cuz I looked so funny drifting off and trying to pop back awake and play, but I had no energy anymore. When mamie let me in the house to sleep I was having none of it, I made grandma take me out into our sun room and then climbed up onto her shoulder facing out the window so I could still see mamie playing in the garden. I didn't actually go sleepy until mamie was all done and came in the house to relax herself!

Saturday was another outside day for me which was nice, but as of Sunday it started to get a bit cold so I had to stay in more. I had a few little accidents because I wasn't getting to go outside and do my business as much so I did get in a little trouble (cuz the least I could have done was used my pee pad instead of the floor), but other than that things were good. Today is supposed to be nice, and my mommy is off so hopefully the temperature will get up to the 56 they predicted and mommy will let me play outside a lot today, paws crossed anyway!

I almost got eated today

Today was just a normal day for me, or so I thought. I went outside with my mamie to do my business, was my usual happy-go-lucky distracted by leaves and twigs self when the least expected thing happened. Ozzy's boyfriend Topper who lives 2 houses down from us climbed underneath his fence, charged at me, and tried to eat me... he really just wanted to play and be friends but I thought for sure he wanted to eat me. Mamie yanked me up in the air by my leash so hard I did let out a little cry but it wasn't pain, it was more the fact that she scared me even more. Mamie stood in the yard yelling for help, but nobody but my uncle Jay was home and he was downstairs, drifting in and out of sleep because he's sick today. Topper's mommy finally came out and asked how that happened, said she'd get a harness and meet us over in my yard from the other way... it seemed to take forever but when she finally got to us she explained that Topper isn't mean (which we already knew cuz he and Ozzy play), he just wanted to play because he'd never seen a small dog or a puppy before... see Topper was bought just before his mommy's husband died, and then shortly after his arrival at the home his daddy passed away. Topper is a pretty large dog (probably about 100 pounds) so even though she loves him, his mommy can't really walk him or anything because she's on the older side and he pulls her around a lot, so he just wanted somebody to play with, and he chose me so I guess in a way I feel really special, scared but special. :-D

When mommy came home from work she took me on a walk, this time it was a night time walk so I had to investigate everything all over again because it all looks so different at night. I was a sleepy guy before she took me but once I got outside I was full of energy, I love being outside and going for long walks! We walked for a half an hour or so but then it started to rain a bit so mommy brought me home, I've terrorized the house again, left a few little muddy prints and now I'm one tuckered out little guy again!
