A Day in the Life of Puck

Welp maybe I should start at last night. Last night mommy noticed another spot on my head and DID NOT like it at all so it was off to the emergency vet for me and boy was it a good idea. Turns out that even with all of that peroxide cleaning and neosporin my head IS infected... so what happens now? I have an oral antibiotic to take once a day for 2 weeks, mommy was told to do warm compresses a few times a day to help the remaining dead hair/icky scab to fall off, and then use neosporin as often as she likes but no less than three times a day to keep it moist and help it heal. They put me in an e-collar so I can't scratch it, and the vet anticipates it to take 2-3 weeks to completely heal. She couldn't guarantee my hair will grow back but said I have good granulation so there's a good chance that it may. She also said she isn't sure the black pigment to my nose/lips will come back, but that it's a waiting game now. Dr. Clauss was confident that the pigment and hair will come back (though he hasn't seen me yet) but even if it doesn't I've been assured I'm still adorable... teh receptionist at the emergency vet actually thought I was born with lips like that and was named Puck because it looks like I'm "Puck"ering up...they all kept telling me how cute I am, but said I am not a good cook so I should leave that to my humans! The vet has seen far worse burns than this and has even seen hotspots that looked just like my little head does... I follow up with Dr. Clauss tomorrow so we'll get his opinion on the black pigment and the chance of my fur growing back and let everywoof know what he says! Either way all mom can say is that I'm going to be okay, and being bald and pink the rest of my life is better than being severely injured. :-D
