RIP Sandy Lynn

Sandy Lynn became ill about two weeks ago. Unfortunately, her epilepsy became too much and the vets were unable to control her grand mal seizures...
Sandy Lynn passed away around midnight in bed with her two favorite people, my mom and dad.
She was the sweetest little dog ever and will never be forgotten. RIP sweet little diva girl. You'll be missed.

Doggie Days of Summer...

Well summer is finally here. I absolutely love the warm weather so I can sprawl out and bake in the sun. I am actually getting a tan on my little belly! My mom loves laying out in the sun and I love laying out with her even more! And guess what she bought me??? A bikini!!! Now I have a 1 piece swimsuit, but this new thing is super cute and all of the grown-ups around here have a fit when they see me strutting my stuff!!! We will have to post new pictures in this improved and grown up outfit of mine!!!

Sandy in the Sand

Well my mommy just graduated from college and she went to the beach to relax and take some time off. And guess what!? I got to go with her! We had to drive for like 10 hours which is near 70 hours in doggie time. But I curled up in my little bed and enjoyed the ride with my grandma.
And when we got there, we went shopping and swimming and doing girly things. And there was no grass. There was this white stuff that my mom called 'sand.' Now this was very confusing because sometimes mommy calls me Sand... But I have never seen anything like this and did not like my precious painted nails sinking into it.
But I loved baking in the sun and curling up in my mommy's lap and watching the water come towards me... It was cold and scary and fun at the same time. And I loved it. And my mommy loves the beach and the sand even more.
Ironic that when she picked me out my name just happened to be Sandy, huh? And our middle names were both Lynn, and I think that my mommy is the best thing in the world and we are a match made in heaven!!!

Update

Well hello to all of my doggy friends! My mommy has been super busy but finally has time to tell all about me! I am getting spoiled more than ever. I have more clothes than ever, and I even got my own car! You can see it up there. Mommy uses it to play some game called golf or something... But she lets me drive it all the time...
I have had some health issues... When mom saved me I had bad heartworms and now I have some chronic scarring and an enlarged heart so that is a big problem. But after months of meds and rest I am better than ever! You can catch me shopping, flirting, and flaunting... Oh, and driving. I love that golf cart more than anything...
And we got the dogster e-mail update and we saw the thing from art.com where they will do something with one of my pictures and I want that! So however I need to go about getting dog of the week, someone please let me know! I will drive over there and make them see just how cute I am!

Morning with Mommy

This morning, mommy picked me out some clothes and a necklace, and told me we were going for a R-I-D-E! We went to this place where you pick out stuff to paint. Mom painted a pink zebra print tile and put my name and pawprint on it. It turned out super cute. I had on the cutest little shirt and my nails were pink and girly like me. I attracted so much attention, as usual. And that is my goal in life; to be a spoiled attention craving little diva. It was great! And then we went to Petco and I got to get a new toy! It is a little pink high heeled shoe that matches a scarf that I have. It is super cute and I'm going to put it in my bed so I can snuggle with it and mommy tonight!!!

Wardrobe Expansion!!!

Well my mom left me today cause she went on an all day shopping trip. I was pretty upset but my grandpa came home early from work to keep me company... When mom got home she gave me a bag full of goodies she bought for me. She got me a blue jean jacket. It is the cutest thing ever! It is kinda boyish for me so mom put my pink polo under it and it is adorable! I also got a new pink polka dot collar and to top it off, a greenie!!! I don't want mom to leave me but as long as she brings me goodies I guess I can allow it!

Ruff July 4th...

Well I sort of remember this holiday thing from last year but this year it was a lot scarier... I don't like any loud noises at all, and these firework-thingies are really loud and scary. I did not go for a walk all weekend because I kept hearing them pop. I am still a bit lenient in walking because I am still scared that I will hear them or something... And to top it off, Mother Nature had some fireworks of her own and it was really rainy and stormy. It was just a ruff day!
I did get to spend a lot of time with my family and did get to go swimming with my mom again, though. We cooked out and I got a bath and a greenie, too!!! I guess if it weren't for the fireworks and storms it would have been perfect!!!

My First Swimming Trip!

Well in all my years, or at least my one year with mommy, I have never been swimming. As you can see in my pictures, I have a swimsuit, but we put that aside for today. Instead, I grabbed my new life jacket and hopped in the pool with mom and uncle Barry. Mom has a little pool in the back yard that she uses to get tan and it is just my size. So they put me in the pool and man am I a little shark! I can swim sooo fast! Mom and Barry held me by the handle on my life jacket to make sure I was ok but I did great! They kept telling me that I am such a good swimmer! It started to get a little cold when the sun went away so I started shaking and was then dried off with a warm towel. But I got in about an hour of swimming time before I had to get out. Grandpa even came and took a picture that we just added. Check out my little life jacket! I hope that I can go swimming again, soon... And that the sun will stay out so I will stay warmer next time!

It's My Birthday!!!

Today was my Birthday!!! Well not my actual b-day... More like my adoption day. Mommy adopted me exactly one year ago. I can't believe it has been one year already! It was off to a rough start but I have a great family that helped pull me through and now I am the happiest, healthiest dog ever!
Anyhoo, we had a party. Mom ordered pizza for the humans, and they had some cupcakes, too. Me and Chance and Alex had doggie treats. I got so many cute presents. Mom got me a dress, a jacket, and a t-shirt. Chance, grandma, and grandpa got me a new pink toy. Ginny and Alex got me a bandanna that is pink with shoes on it! Oh,and a raft to float on in mommy's pool. It was such a fun day, but I am dog tired and going to bed with grandma and grandpa!!! Nite- Nite!
