to the Bridge....

IT is very sad that KC was sent to the Bridge on November 21 2007 , her lymphoma came back and fast. It broke my heart so bad to lose her, she was such a great dog. But now there is Charlee come to help me grieve. She has awful big paws to fill.

I'm Back!!

Hi all, It's KC and I am back! I have been a sick little pup but am back on the road to recovery. See, I was diagnosed with lymphoma in January and have been ungoing chemo. It made me a little sick and I had to spend some time in the hospital but now things are good. I am in remission and I am enjoying every minute! I chase the birds (pigeons ) out of the yard and play tag with the squirrels! Mom and dad give me lots of treats and take me for rides and we go to parks. And there are so many new smells there! What fun. I will write more later! WooHoooooo

I'm Baaaack.....

Hi everyone, hope you all are enjoying your summer. I am but it is way too hot!! I do not like this time of year - I love it with all the fluffy white stuff on the ground and when it is really cold outside!! WoooHooo!!!! Mom doesn't like this hot weather either but when she gets home from work she puts this machine on that makes it nice and cold in the house and we are both happy! But not dad! He complains it is too cold! lol But that is because he likes his car without a top! He takes me for little rides in it around town and that is fun with the wind blowing in my fur! And all the smells in the air! WooHoooo!!! I see I have lots of pup pals and that is fun! Too bad we can't all get together and run around and play. Mom says I have to learn to play well with others and dad says that mom does too! lol Anyway, only a few more weeks of this hot stuff and then it will start to cool down, so enjoy your summer and I will be back in the fall!!

Hello again!!

Hey everybody, I am back!! Sorry I haven't written for a while but we have been getting some snowstorms and I have been outside playing in all that great snow. It really isn't enough but I will take it!! WoooHooo!!! It has been quiet - not much excitement around here. Well, except for that airplane thing. Mom and Dad took me over there to see it sticking out of a building. I was a little confused, isn't that like a garage for them? But mom said not that building. Anyway there were all these policeman men around, and guys with yellow chests (mom said they were workers preparing to remove it) and firetrucks and so many people. It was fun and different for me. So many new smells and I met a bunch of other doggies too!

Gotta go, mom's taking me to the park today where I can chase the geese!! Woohooooo!! Don't worry, I never catch them - it is just fun to watch them all fly away from me!!

I Saw Santa!!!!

Hi everyone, today mom took me to see Santa! It was a little scary at first - there were so many other doggies there all acting up, and then there was this guy in a bright red suit with lots of face hair. But he was nice to me and even sat on the floor next to me. And Santa gave me a greenie and said if I was a good girl, I would get more when he came to the house next week!! WooHooo! Of course I am going to be good. I just love those greenies! And mom bought me a new "Cuz" too! I really love those balls and they make the greatest and loudest squeak!! But I am all tuckered out so I am going to bed early and get lots of rest so I can wait up for this Santa person to come to my house. See ya all soon!!

It's Me Again!!

Hi everyone! How's it going? I just want to write another story about me to introduce myself some more. I thought y'all would be interested to know that I was one of 12 puppies in a litter and sadly my doggie mom died just after giving birth. We were raised by a substitute mom until we were old enough to eat on our own. A couple of my siblings, including me, had some problems. Mom was told that my front leg was broke during the birthing process but that wasn't true. My orthopedic doc said it was elbow displasia. But mom takes real good care of me. Dad built a ramp in the backyard to make it easier for me to get into the house. And it is lined with a thick rubber mat. You can see that mom added some new pics of me. There is one with my "poodle do" after my cruciate/patella surgery. I was so embarrassed by that haircut!! And there is my Halloween pic!! Pretty cute huh? You should see the headgear I have to wear. Mom likes to dress me and take pics!! and then she sends them to everyone!! I am also a "convertible girl" - I love riding in dad's car. But only on little trips as it gets very very windy back there! But the wind blowing through my hair is sooo cool!! Anyway that's it for now. I will write more later on. Hope you enjoyed my little introduction!!

My first entry!

Hi everyone, I am the new kid on the block and thought that I would introduce myself. I am a longcoat akita, black brindle with a white chest that looks like a ghost. And I am the spitting image of my daddy but he is much bigger than me. It seems my legs didn't grow like they should have but mommy and daddy are so in love with me that they do not care about that. They were told my front leg was broke when I was born, but that wasn't the case - it is elbow dysplasia and I am very wide in the front. Mom will put up a new photo later to show y'all. And last February I had major surgery to correct a luxating patella and a torn cruciate. I am almost 100% recovered and can now move around better. But they gave me a "poodle haircut" for the surgery on that leg! Everyone laughed at me!! I will have mom post that picture too! I have a mom who is putting all kinds of stuff on my head and taking pictures of me so be prepared to see lots of pics in time. Gotta go now, mom is calling me - it is time for our nightly walk!! Y'all have to come and visit with me and be my pals!!! I want to PLAY PLAY PLAY!!!! Bye!!!!! Ahhhhhwrooooooooo!!!!!
