We had to go to the vet today for our heartworm check! No heartworms for us! We got a refill on our meds. Daddy took us and he took me only on my gentle leader.
Joey and I were very good girls.
We let the vet look at us, listen to our insides, and take blood (that was a little trickier, but we did it!). I rolled over on my back and asked Daddy to please rub my belly so I could relax a little while there. I have him trained well! He did a good job.
We both did great. We waited patiently! We were good patients! Then when Daddy was paying a lady stuck her hand in my face. Uh-oh. Yeah, I gave her a little snap, but I didn’t break the skin. Dang! Dad was sad and the lady was very nice and said she understood, she had GSDs in the past. Whew.
Still, I did better than I’ve ever done! I keep getting a little better and better! It adds up, you know!

I've been tagged by my furrend Jolanda and family! Me and Joey both! We're to tell you TEN things we LOVE!! Here goes!
Things I love…..
1. I love my BEEPER! It’s my Kong Wubba super squeaky toy! Every time I play with it Mom and Dad get excited and want to play with it too!! It’s a fun toy!
2. I love my Daddy the best. He will always play with me and never kick my butt. I can ‘accidentally’ bite him too hard and he never gets mad at me for it!! I look at him with my pooling deep brown eyes in adoration. (sigh). I love my Daddy. He’s my most favorite person!
3. I love Mommy too, but Mommy is boss and I know it! I can’t EVER make a mistake and bite her too hard, she’ll kick my booty!! She’s done it before. So I like her and play with her a little bit, but not rough like with Daddy!
4. I love TUNA. It is my most favorite food ever. It makes me weak in the knees and salivate in the mouth! If I had my way I’d eat Tuna every day!!!
5. I love watching guard. Often I pretend I’m a junkyard dog, or a used car lot dog, walking the perimeter of the fence, watching for suspicious people and things. Any sign of something out of place and WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF! I am a great protector of my home and my Mommy! Daddy I think can protect himself. Mommy? I’m not so sure. She has that little voice and all, I think I’ll play it safe and protect her too!!
6. I love being right. Who doesn’t? This also counts as I love it when I get credit. Like when Joey body checks me and suddenly I’m two feet over from where I was? Often Ma and Pa are aware of it and swat at her and love on me! Ha! How about that, Joey?
7. I love Joey. Even if she is a cutsie, know-it-all, sometimes bully. I think if she were really tired I could take her. Maybe. I could absolutely outrun her! For sure!!
8. I LOVE to go on runs with my pawrents on the bicycle. I love driving myself to go faster and faster, pulling the bike as I go, and feeling the wind in my ears and hair! It’s almost intoxicating I love it so much!
9. I love trying to catch the birdies Mom feeds in the back yard. I think sometimes they get full and slow, and I’ve almost caught a couple! GRRRR! I think I have bird dog somewhere far far back in my family.
10. I love my belly rubs. Often it’s my idea! I’ll lie down and roll over, saying, “Here’s my belly! Look! It’s my belly! Wanna rub it?” It would be silly for them not to pounce on that opportunity!!

Well, maybe all people aren't evil! Mama had some ladies over last night and me and Dad hung out upstairs. I heard the doorbell and I tried telling Dad - DANGER! Let's go get them! But he said no. I did a little squeaking and protesting and then I calmed down.
After a few hours I told Dad - I've got to pee! What to do? They thought about locking the guests in the bathroom.. Then they put my pinch collar on and took me downstairs. I growled a little, but I really had to pee! Then I came in and stood with Dad, Mom pet me and I looked at the people. They didn't look all that bad. Plus Mom was petting me.
Then we went back upstairs! Bye people! That was kind of weird! Oh well, it all worked out! And I got to smell where they were sitting later!
Mom and Dad say that was a really huge improvement. Before they say I was just plain bananas. 'Relax on a mat' must be helping!!!
