Some of my pals have been asking about the cows that invaded our property last year. Well apparently they all went to the market, and not to buy hay, if you get my drift.
There is a cattle ranch right about 1 mile from our property and their fields have been empty. Right across the street from there is another rancher who owned the herd of cattle that came to visit us and none of them have been spotted either. The only place where we still see any cattle is the small ranch right at the mouth of our development. They even have two new born calves out in the field with the rest of the herd.
There is someone else down there that has two Alpacas which is kind of neat. I wonder what an Alpaca steak would taste like…
Apparently there are supposed to be wild turkeys that roam the area, but Coco and I haven’t found any. I sure wish we would because I would invite my pal Toto over to show me how to catch one. When we first move here daddy would hear a rooster crowing throughout the day but that has stopped. Do you think that means the rooster became someone’s dinner? I’m still waiting for the humans to build a chicken coop but apparently they want to finish THEIR house first before building something for chickens. I really don’t think that is fair because I would like to have some fresh eggs and chickens for dinner.
I hope everyone has a very nice Easter.
Milo and Luna, want wish you and all of your family a special Easter.
Fresh eggs and a chicken dinner sounds yummy!
I'm a bit behind, but if I leave right now we can be turkey hunting soon!!!
