Being a white dog does not have a lot of advantages.
Tear stains can clearly be seen on my face.
Dirty butts can not escape human notice and for that matter neither can dirty feet, face, or anything else.
I get lots of baths.
Strangers seem to think I am cute (yes) and friendly (no) and try to pet me but I soon put them in their place.
On the plus side:
Fleas and ticks can't hide on me.
I'm easy to see in the dark.
I clean up really nice and look good for a day or two.
No one has ever said Coco Rose has tear stains on her face. Heck how would they ever know because she is a black beauty.
Coco never gets stopped at the back door because she has poop on her but let me tell you she too has a dirty butt more times than the humans have caught.
The humans can't see Coco outside in the dark without a flashlight.
Coco only gets a bath at home when she throws up on herself. Other than that she does go to the groomer once a month but that is pampering. I'm lucky if I don't get a bath weekly.
Yes there are some real difference between white dogs and black dogs but deep down we are all the same because we all have lots of love and devotion to give to our humans.
Shoo- I was worried this might have canine racial overtones, but it was very practical. It sounds like you're a tad jealous of Coco's stealth abilities with her dark coloration!
I'm so glad your electroshock/pincushion appt went well, fellow inmate.
Be well, little buddy.
