A Dog's Life by Speed Racer

I have been doing good now and my mom takes me to dog park everyday when the weather lets us. My mom's dad got real sick so she had to take care of his dog named Brenda. She is a cocker spaniel and mom said she is family in more ways then one. She is the niece to the cocker mom had before me. Mom said she is old, 13 now and I have to be nice. She was, I have to say in bad shape. I went with mom to the vets to have this huge thing drained on her neck, a cyst mom called. I sat and waited while they did that with mom and my aunt Sandi who went with us. Mom said she has a bad ears as she has infection in both ears and a bad skin problem because her dad did not take care of her when his wife died in Feb. Mom told everyone that Brenda was on medication for the restoof ther life so where was the meds and no one knew. Well my mom found them right away! She went to the first cupboard and there they were so she said she was going to take Brenda because no one was taking care of her . So I had her at my house and mom got her feeling so much better . She got to go to dog park for the first time in her life and she was so happy, trotting everywhere. She would try and walk next to me but she is to slow. Unfortunatly mom had to take Brenda back after her dad got home Brenda did not want to go. Mom said she got a taste of the good life so now we go pick her up on Monday , Wednesday and Friday so she can still have fun and Mom made arrangements with my aunt to give her all the pills she needs and had my aunt take out all the bad stuff she was given to eat and has her eating just her dog food and the special Chicken Breast tender jerky that I get, so she has her own bag now at her house. She was nice too but I was not so nice when it came to my mom. I got nasty when she would come to close for a treat or if she wanted up on couch with us but I finally let her have the end of the couch and mom gave her a treat first then me so no problems. Mom says I am bad because I am an only child but I like being an only child . I can be more generous now since she is not here anymore and I only see her for two hours a day. Ok off to the dog park!!
