Sigh, Swim Season is here...

Those blasted kid goldens got on my LAST nerve today! Jumping in and out of the water, running around like maniacs, and splashing water on me! It's enough that I have to watch my human kids and protect them in case they get hurt, but those dumb goldens are gonna get in trouble too. I figure since my mom likes em' so much I should protect them as well. Grrrr they better knock it off before I get to them rather that the monster that is water does.

1. After my surgery the vet is NOT my favorite person. My response is to shudder when she touches me. It makes my mom's heart break but is also cute!
2. I bark at EVERYTHING!! But hey I am a sheltie and that's what we do. Time for a walk? Arf arf! Was that a leaf that just touched MY sidewalk, arf ARF!
3. I have a habit of howling when my people are home but I can't be with them. Scared my mom the first time I did it because really she was just upstairs reading. I couldn't find her though!
4. I nip people when I think they are moving too slow. Mornings my kids go to school equals walks for me! The faster we go the better. Besides I need to take care of my kids and get them to school on time!5. Walks, chicken, and car rides are my absolute FAVORITE things EVER! Want to win me over? Feed me chicken, take me for a long walk and drive me around in your convertable!

Yay good news!! "The vet" claims she doesn't have any room for me. Hah I know that she just doesn't want to deal with me again!! I'm too much for her and her puny force of "helpers"

Instead my vet tech friend, Alex, is gonna watch me. I LOVE HER!! She's soooo pretty and sooo nice!! Man I'm drooling just thinking about it!!

In other news my recovery is going well. I'm starting to eat solids, but it was a little too much for my tummy so we have to cut back.

Grrr my mom looked at my entry a few minutes ago and she says she ashamed of me. So I have to say sorry Laura, I don't hate you.

As for the mean pokey lady I have to say sorry to her too. Mom refers to her as "the vet" whatever that means. She says "the vet" is a very nice, caring lady who saved my life. I'm sorry pokey lady, and thanks for saving my life! (Although I probably could have done it myself)

I'm sorry pokey (Shadow!) I mean "the vet". I understand you are trying to help me and I have done a wonderful job!

My mom wants to say a few words:

Sorry to anyone whose is confused by this diary!! Just my creative side coming out! ;) Shadow is actually doing great. Bringing him home has sped up his recovery dramatically and he is almost back to normal! He will be back on regular food in a few days, so no more needles!!

This is Shadow again and since this is MY diary I want to sign off with doggie kisses and puppy love!!

My mom is going to Disneyland in October and she says that I will be in capable hands while she is gone. Why can't you stay here with me mom? Why does that OTHER dog get to go? Laura I hate you!!

Grrrr those people are gonna have a tough time keeping me down! I'm gonna escape and go to Disneyland!!

Home Again, but not out of the Woods

Hi Everyone!!

My mommy wants to send out a huge THANK YOU to all who repsonded with kind words and prayers!! Dog people are the best and you've really helped!!

They finally let me out of that stinky place!! I hated it there and that one lady who always pokes me with a sharp thing let her gaurd down when she went to exercise me and I jumped into my mom's car!!! Bet she didn't see that coming! I hid really well and my mom drove home with me!! Haha I fooled those people!

On the way home my mom kept kissing me and telling me what a good boy I was. I was only gone for a few days!! I bet things got out of control at home because there was no one to watch the house! Well I'm back and I'm gonna resume my old post!! Watch out!!

My mom also says I look like a little rat cuz' they had to shave practically my whole body!! She says I still look handsome though, but I don't believe her. They took away all my pride!!

I still have to get my fluids three times a day, which means more pokey things. Since my mom is doing it though it's ok.

I'm also on anti-biotics and might start doggie kemo (spell?) soon. But this cancer is not gonna get me!! Grrrr I'll chase it down and herd it into a black hole!! Mighty Shadow!! Protector of the Universe form Cancer is what I'll call myself.

Well I'll keep you guys updated later because I spot my friend Otter across the street and I HAVE to go say hi to him. Puppy Hugs and Kisses!

Surgery

Hi everyone!!

I'm currently undergoing treatment for pancreas cancer. I had surgery today to remove the tumor and everything is going great! Please pray for me and my family during this hard time.
