it’s getting chilly

Boy it’s getting chilly out there. It is going to get worst before it gets any better too. I hate when the clocks get turned back because it seems like its gloomy all the time. I’m paper trained, so I won’t see a lot of time outside any more. I personally miss the dog days of summer. My window has been shut for a week or two now and I don’t envision mom opening it up for me any time soon. All I can do is hope for a warm Thanksgiving so she’ll have to open it while she cooks. Thanksgiving is my kind of holiday; with all that great food at one time. Too bad it’s that not for Doggie type of food that always smells so wonderfully delicious. At least mom always blends an extraordinary hearty bowl of kibble on the holidays.
After Thanksgiving everything goes into overdrive around here but that’s for another day diary.
So long for now from Colin Doggie

killing a little time before Doggie School

Good Evening Everyone,
Mom and I were killing a little time before Doggie School, so I thought I would update my memoirs. Things in the house feel like time is standing still what with only a couple more nights of Doggie School and it will close for good. Let me tell you this is going to completely open up my agenda calendar. If you ask asked Mom I am sure she would tell you that I am not ready to end my schooling, not going to agree with that but I will so miss spending the time with my doggie acquaintances and their people. Some of those people give the best kisses and belly rubs a boy could get. I hate to even think of the treats that I will be missing now. It’s just not fair!
I might have to give a speech or something. I can hear it now in my head…” I am the Doggie; I speak for the fleas, as the fleas have no tongues”. Well something like that, I don’t think it sound as good as the Lorax yet but I will work on it. Well time to tossed a lease on Mom and drag her off to school.
Paw ya later

I am putting my paws down!

I can not believe my mother. She had the nerve to wake me up early and start using that dreaded B word again. What dog in his right mind would want to start the day with the murmur of a Bath hanging over his head? I am not going to take this laying down (which is how I take most things) we must mutiny. Maybe we could start a petition or something which gives us dog the right to roll in stink grass and keep that wonder doggie fragrance!
Oh no! Got to run I hear the sink filling it's time for me to hide under the bed. Till next time Diary.

Wow I can not believe tonight is the last night for Doggie School. It seems like I have always gone to school. What am I suppose to do for excitement now? Does anyone know of an online dating service for Doggies because my social life is about to take a major nose dive! Just when my Great Dane beauty was starting to warm up to me too. Oh well I never could find a doggie size step ladder anyways.

my marvelously musky doggie fragrance

As if it wasn’t bad enough that mom made me take a bath and removed my marvelously musky doggie fragrance, now she shampooed the carpet too to remove even more traces of my aromatic remains. If I didn’t have such high self esteem I might take something like that personal. I guess I'll try to behave, so long as she leaves my room alone. Some abodes a dog just has the constitutional rights to keep it reeking like a doggie. I just am going to have to put my paws down!

So this is what life has become without Pocksha Canine Club. Tuesdays hold no meaning for me anymore, now that school closed. Mom will be taking off for work soon and then I am stuck home alone to watch the dumb house that never does anything interesting at all; and I don’t even have anything to look forward too. The sounds of the Trash truck will just taunt me today. What I would not give for a ride to end at Doggie school again, just once! How will my girlfriend endure without see me I ask you? They were completely under my spell.
I miss you Pocksha, and I will be pouting all day in silent demonstration all day just for you Pocksha.

My Fun Day with Mom

Oh boy, at last I get to go somewhere again. Mom told me that just the two of us are going out today. We are going to a local pet store so I can have my pictures done for Christmas. Mom already took some of me and my boy for our Christmas cards but today it is just going to be me. I heard Boy last night try and weasel his way into our fun day but Mom told him no. I can not wait to go because mom always lets me pick out a treat from the rawhide bar, yum. Plus their should be other dogs there for me to play with, it's been such a long time since I've seen any doggie friends. I love Mom and the family but it's not the same as playing with other Dogs.
Well I'm off, have to let mom glam me up for the pictures.
Till next time Diary

Boy did I have a great time with Mommy today. Mom and I went to have my pictures done today for Christmas and we think they came out really good. Mom and I are a big Grinch fan so we think it is the perfect Christmas picture for us. We had it done at a local pet store so I got to play with a bunch of other Doggies while I was there. I even got a goodie bag to take home with me along with the pictures. Mom told me it was well worth the twenty dollars it cost,
because it was all going for a good charity, bullet proof vest for police dogs.
While we were there mom grabbed a couple of copies of the December Pet Gazette so she could show it off. I'm on page thirteen with the other happy adoption stories. Then, after the pictures we took a ride to mom's work so all the girls she works with could ooo and ahhh over me. I also got to give the girl tons of doggie kisses. But the best part was the fact that mom put my car seat in the front of the car so I could ride shotgun with her.
Like I always say it's good to be the Doggie!

I can not believe that it is almost Christmas already. Where did the time go? I have been very good lately, mom has not had to dance with the rug cleaner in months. I can not wait to see what Santa Paws gets me this year. My stocking is hung with care for him to fill it, and boy do I need some new chews to keep me busy while the family is off at school and work. My old cow hoof is down to about the size of a quarter now. How am I support to sharpen my teeth on that for my gerrr sessions with Grumppa I ask you. Last year Santa gave me my gerrlriend Humpy, and that’s going to be a tough one to beat. But I am keeping my paws crossed.
