I'm told it was a Chihuahua. The smallest, itty-bitty, teacuppy Chihuahua ever seen. Off it's leash. At the park this afternoon. Luckily, Burt did NOT mistake it for a squirrel or I shudder to think of what might have happened!

Here we were, minding our own business, enjoying the park on a warm Saturday afternoon when we were swarmed by this little yappy thing. Circling and circling and circling, and yapping and yapping and yapping. And it's people trying to dodge our leashes, chasing it around in circles (have to admit it WAS pretty funny how this little itty bitty thing had these people all in a FRENZY).

What a panic! Guess they thought Burt and I would eat their baby for lunch (us being big mean lookin' black dogs and all... BOL). Would have been TOTALLY avoided if they'd OBEY THE LAW and LEASH their dog. And me and Burt? Totally calm, totally in control. Totally on a harness and leash.

Why people get scared of us Black pearls is beyond my mommy. We are just like the lighter colour dogs only difference is we are black. Plus easier to keep clean.

I never was aware of probs with black dogs till I came to the USA. I have always had black dogs.. or cats...

The stupidity of the human race never ceases to astound me at times.

Some people dont care about their furbabies and dont obey the law.Mommy says put the leash on then we go no leash no go.But great job for just sitting and watching.We love black dogs too we just try to stay away from bigger doggies until their pawrents say they are friendly and even smaller dogs too because some of them are not friendly either.

There is nothing wrong with being a black dog. I'm just as sweet as can be and also quite beautful even if I am saying that myself - BOL

That little dog is lucky you guys didn't step on him and squish him! The litte guys can be yappy for sure. When I get yapped at, I give a good sturn deep bark to say "Hey you! Stop that nonsense and calm down!"
