I'm trying to be nice to my "little brother". But he really knows how to push my buttons. Burt is climbing up onto the Dad's ottoman in front of Dad's chair. That's where I go when I need extra attention. Like when it thunders outside. Or someone shoots off some fireworks. The Dad makes a real big deal about Burt. Calls him his "Buddy Boy Burt". Gives him ears skritches. Rubs his belly.

Ok. Yes. I know. I'm a Momma's Girl. But I still need special attention from the Dad too. Yesterday the Mom was petting me on the couch and the Dad was petting Burt on the ottoman. I started giving Burt the "stink eye" and snorting through my nose. The Mom said "Dixie, Be Good". Hey, I'm being very restrained in my reaction to the "Burt Infestation". What more do they want from me?

Dixie, I agree with Lucas...let Burt have a little special time, he's adjusting to his new life...your family has enough love to go around! The both of you will be the best of pals in no time!! Hugs to you all!!

If your mom is a little like mine, she have love for a dozen pups in her heart (at least...All the dogs in the world would be more accurate...BOL) So be happy that you have only one brother like I have only one sister.

Here is a suggestion - Maybe BOTH you and Burt should be bathed and conditioned using the same smelly stuff so you both smell the same. He humans can rub you down and then fuss over each of you. Sometimes it's just the smell that sets one off.

Also, you should not have to share everything. Coco continues to hog the cookies but that's okay with me because I like the toys better, plus momma sneaks me cookies when Coco isn't looking - BOL

Dixie...You are such a sweetheart ...I remember when Mom and Dad rescued Sasha..I was like Hey,...Remember me...DOZER...The one that was her FIRST!! Now...She is such a BRAT but I wouldn't want it any other way....I love her to pieces... I would bet you will get there with Burt before to long!!

Don't you speak Japanese...
You can always call him names in languages he doesn't recognize yet. I speak cowboy quite well so I make fun of Ruby using phrases she don't know. she can only shake her head and walk away. I leave her speechless! BOL
