I DO NOT LIKE THUNDERSTORMS.
Nope. That's too mild.
I HATE THUNDERSTORMS.
With every fiber of my being.
Better. Much more accurate.

The Mom and the Dad adopted me last Fall, so this is my first Summer TStorm season with them. Surprise, surprise, surprise!!! I kept climbing on top of the Mom's head in bed last night. ALL night long. I turn into a Nervous Nellie whenever I hear Big bada BOOM!

p.s. Fireworks freak me out too!!! What is it with these people in Chicago? They're workin' my last nerve! They start shooting off M-80s on Memorial Day and don't let up until after July 4th!!! Fireworks are illegal in Illinois. Maybe they didn't get the memo...

Same thing here...I hate thunderstorms and fireworks too. But I bark at them and after a while they are going away. I think you have to be louder than them and they are going away. Yep! Mommy and daddy would like me to stay quiet though! :o)

They are not supposed to be fired in OK cities either.. ( except by the City admin itself) so they erect tents outside city limits and STILL sell them. Fortunately Flicka and Lucas dont mind.. nor storms( luckily... being in Tornado Alley) but that isnt the point as far as fireworks are concerned. Seems OK to break laws

I climb on top of my Mommy's head when I hear thunder & fireworks too Dixie! Or any other loud noises for that matter. Don't get me started on train whistles.

Thunderboomers & all the summer time fireworks are just the pits. I don't recall anyone asking my opinion on this matter. And that's just wrong, wrong, wrong!

I'm so glad that I'm not alone...maybe we can form a support group. :-)

Sarge and Crystal and I do not like thunderstorms either.It seems they would come often in May they have calmed down.Mom keeps us in for the most part on the 4th of July.But we do not like fireworks either.

I'm with Muffin... we need to form a support group! The Big bada BOOM Group!

The Mom is giving me 3mg Melatonin, which is what humans take to chill out and get sleepy. It's a herbal kind of sleepy pill that she takes sometimes and Dr. M said I could have too.

And Dr. M got me a 'script for 5 mg. Diazepam to take on the 3rd, 4th and 5th. I guess I'm officially a "diva" now that I have my very own "script for Valium... ;D

Hey Dixie,
I can deal during a T-storm, luckily because Chi-Town is famous for crazy weather, but Fireworks no way. I wish people would listen to the authorities about that one. You are absolutely right they shoot them from Memorial Day 'til the end of July. Come on how uncool is that?
