The Thundershirt

So, Mom got me this weird lookin' cloth thingie with velcro on it.
She put it on me. I didn't like it much at first but then she kept giving me treats. Not too bad.

Mom put this weird thing on me July 4th in the evening. she said it would help with my anxiety during the fireworks. Okay, I thought, it's worth a shot. I really don't like them loud noises.

You know what? It worked! I was still a little nervous, but I was calm and I wasn't shaking like a fish out of water. I just laid down next to mom and watched TV with her.

Boomer barked a couple times and that made me bark, but it was nice not to feel so scared.

Winter

So, it seems to be a cold cold winter this year. I have even come out from under the bed at night to sleep with my Mom and Dad and the other dogs. It gts crowded sometime, but I feel I have seniority because I have been there the second longest. Boomer of course, is the most senior.
It's wierd because I can lay in my little ball and in 5 minutes or less I have to get up and do the Smoot-a-Roni (walk aroung in a cirle). I end up in the same exact place! I think I like the feeling of going in circles. I dunno, I just do it. Mom and dad sometimes get annoyed with me because i do it like 3 times in 20 minutes. But I feel that secretly they like it to. Well, maybe if I don't crash down on their legs. BOL!!
Well, my furry friends, be sure to stay warm!!!! I know I will be in that queen sized bed with everyone else!!!!!!

1) I do this little hop thing when I run. mom and dad say I look like a Gazelle!
2) I am a talker
3) At 2pm I am ready to eat my dinner and will bug Dad or Mom until they get it for me
4) I don't like to have my nails trimmed :( If I want them shorter, I'll take care of 'em myself!
5) I sleep under the bed at night.sometimes I sneak up on my pawrents bed in the middle of the night.
6) I was my pawrents first pup as a married couple
7) I absolutely love to go for car rides!!!!

A New Bone!!!!!!

I am so very excited!!! Mom and Dad gave me a new bone for Christmas! It even has meat on it!!!!!!!! All of us four-leggers got one! I love it, I love it, I love it!!!!!!!!

I am a bit discouraged though lately.......I don't have very many friends here on Dogster. Snowden is quite popular and trinity is on her way there. Boomer has a girlfriend! I have nodoggy except my Sam, who doesn't seem to be at all popular either.

Is there somethin wrong with us? Hmmmmm, I shall have to ponder that question for a while!

But, hey, atleast I got a new bone.

I keep chewing stuff up

Ok, something is wrong and I don't know what it is. Mom hasn't been feeling well and will take a nap. I keep finding stuff of hers and can't help but start chewing on it. i hjave never done this before! Am I just worried about Mom and this is some sort of nervous behavior? Or am I just a brat?
Mom is disappointed in me, she says. I chewed a hole in a skirt she only has worn once and chewed a couple of holes in a purse she got from Aunt Becca that was hand sewn.
I don't know why I am doing it! mom is right there in bed.......I can't stand it!!!!!!

Talking back to Mom

Well, I certainly pushed the limit with Mom lastnight.
See, I sleep under the bed(I squeeze underneath there somehow) and I heard a dog barking outside. Well, Ididn't like it, so I started barking too. Mom was already in bed and she told me to be quiet. I answered her back with a cocky "No!" and she said not to talk back to her. Well, she can't have the last word so I gave her a big sigh. She said that if Ididn't stop Iwas going to have to go into the crate. So, So Igave her a quiet little grump. She heard me, but laughed and said Iwas a crazy little mutt!
She couldn't have gotten me out from under that bed anyway. She is the silly one!
