Sweetie Honored as "DOGSTER DOG OF THE DAY!!!!

I am so happy to be chosen "DOGSTER DOG OF THE DAY!!!" My goal is to show humans just how smart dogs can be. I love to talk and read and spell do arithmetic. I like to play cards identify things! I love performing before an audience. I can feel the excitement from my nose to the tip of my tail! Put a big TV camera two inches from my nose and I will talk and talk!

Guess what! No one taught me what the items I can identify are! I knew what they were the first time I saw them! It is like someone who can play the piano without ever taking a lesson. Some dogs like to catch flying saucers, some like to dig, some like obstacle courses. I am not an athlete. I like "showing" what my human asks me to find"

SWEETIE THE SMARTEST DOG ON PET STAR JANUARY 22nd!!

Sweetie the Smartest Dog will appear in a repeat performance on PET STAR on ANIMAL PLANET on Tuesday, January 22, 2010 at 8:00 am EST. You will see Sweetie do amazing things that you never see a dog do. Sweetie will identify letters, do arithmetic, read, identify the judges by their photographs, and she will say "I Love You." TURN UP THE VOLUME ON YOUR TV SO YOU CAN HEAR HER TALK! The show called her "Sweetie the Reading Dog."

See the video on Sweetie's Dogster page to see a sample of what Sweetie can do. On PET STAR, Sweetie was performing before a live audience and judges. What you will see was filmed start to finish in one take. What you see is exactly what happened. No segments were shot a second time. The show trimmed the segment because it ran too long. What they cut out was a shuffle of the letters Sweetie identified.

Watch the judges faces while Sweetie is performing. Listen to their comments. Watch Sweetie look down at the letters, etc., before she puts her paw on them.

I hope you all enjoyed my performance. Do your humans now know how smart we are? I got a perfect score of 30 points!
I did not have to send an audition tape to get on Pet Star. The producers saw me on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" before Per Star was ready to go on the air. They called me and asked me to be on the show.

My segment was taped without stopping from beginning to end. I did more than what you saw. My human mixed up the order of the letters and I got them all correct. The show cut out that segment because my "set" was too long. Many of the other acts were edited.

While my human woke up early to watch, I slept through the show. Sleep is jut too important to get up early to watch myself do what I do every day!

I can't wait until tomorrow! If you watch, you will hear about how I told my humans about who my soul belongs to. You know how many humans say they want to come back as their own dog? I did and, it is an absolutely true story!

Sweetie on Pet Star on August 31st.

Sweetie the Smartest Dog will appear on Pet Star on August 31st! She is billed as "Sweetie the Reading Dog." Check you local listings. Pet Star is on Animal Planet.

Sweetie was honored to be a "Most Eligible Pet" in Animal Fair Magazine.

Sweetie can read, spell, count, and talk. She can identify people in pictures, clock faces, colors shapes, number of buttons in piles, and many other things. She knows the alphabet forward and backward. She can talk too! She says "I Love You," in a unique way--she thrusts out her tongue to make the "L" sound in "Love."

Her performance on Pet Star was continuous from beginning to end on Pet Star without stopping. The show edited out a segment where I rearranged the order of the letters ONLY to shorten the segment. Sweetie got them all right though.

Turn up the volume so you can hear her say "I Love You" at the end of her performance.

This is a good opportunity to show what Sweetie can do in front of a live audience and three judges who were carefully watching everything. Sweetie will be performing things you never saw a dog do. She will point to letters, do arithmetic, read and identify words, point to pictures of the judges, and say, “I Love You.” (Turn up the volume to make sure you hear her.)
