What a day. Both Dad and I went for blood tests and glad to say mine were great. No worms or whatever. Got my shots and pills against possible worms of all kinds. We'll have to wait and see for Dad. I feel that us K9s get better treatment than humans...Dad was more nervous for me than himself, I love Dad and of course Mom

From Teddie

Dedicated to Marley.

April 24th 2009 6:01 pm [link to this entry]

My girlfriend Marley is terribly sick with she posted this on her diary blog...and I am so sad...please read and pray for Marley. She is only 6 years old....:(
Well, the liver biopsy did not come back with very good news. It appears the cancer has spread and I have the "bad" version of hysti0cytic sarcoma, which means that there is nothing they can do for me. They will put me on steroids for a bit to hopefully help me feel better enough to eat. Everyone tells me I'm too skinny.

Who would have thought this would be me?

Well, since it is what it is, I have to accept my fate. Despite all my health issues since I was a pup, I consider myself extremely lucky. I picked good parents who took care of my boo boos and sicknesses. They fed me lots and gave me more love than any pup could ever imagine. Who could ask for a better life?

My wish for is that my parents and auntie to try not to be sad. I came into their life for a reason and they for me. It's the way things were meant to be.

To all my friends on Dogster, you have been a blessing for me and my family with all your POPs and prayers. My wish for all of you is to love your humans with all your hearts (like that isn't hard for us Golden s, huh?)

We don't know how long it will be, but when it's time have faith that I will no longer be in pain. I will finally be with my best friend ever...Angel. I can't wait to play bitey ears with her again. :)

...and finally....Teddy. I Love You. You are the cutest boyfriend a girl could ever have. I will watch over you every day and when you are ready, I will be the first one at the Bridge waiting for you. My wish for you is that you live a long and happy life with your loving family.

Three years ago, Mom and Dad walked into "Le Berger Blanc", a rescue place and guess what? Well, little me found a forever home on that day.
I am thankful for this since Mom and Dad treat me like their child and spoil me so much. I wish that more people would consider rescuing instead of Pet shop that deal with mills...
Thank you, Mom and Dad for giving me a chance at a better life,

Short and sweet.
This is free and easy. A single page that is yours to show the world what best friends we are, all of us K9's.

“I used to look at (my dog) Smokey and think, ‘If you were a little smarter, you could tell me what you were thinking,’ and he’d look at me like he was saying, ‘If you were a little smarter, I wouldn’t have to.’” ~Fred Jungclaus

I have caught more ills from people sneezing over me and giving me virus infections than from kissing dogs.

If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man.

You think dogs will not be in heaven? I tell you, they will be there long before any of us.
Robert Louis Stevenson

Histories are more full of examples of the fidelity of dogs than of friends.
Alexander Pope

The dog has got more fun out of man than man has got out of the dog, for man is the more laughable of the two animals.
James Thurber

The Breed Photo Game,
It all started 5 weeks ago when Dad decided to try his hand at winning points for me...Then, it got crazy and from 1,000 th position, Dad and Mom (yep, Mom joined too) they put me in the top scorers...That means that Mom and Dad are together enjoying a little fun on my behalf...together is the key word. Then, I met Penny Ann, a great sport and now my furrrr friend forever. We were having a blast and not doing anybody any harm but...I am sad now cuz Penny Ann cannot play with me or anybody else. I think he "puter" is going berzerk...Stupid puter, dont hurt anybody. For now, I may get some news but cannot play with my friend. Mom says that this is not OK. Maybe I'll sneak in and fix Penny's If only I could fly. That's it for now and I miss my friend, people dont understand us K9s. Ok, not all peoplez...

After two months.....

... Mom and Dad brought me back to my beloved dog park!!! Why did they wait so long to bring me back? Actually, it's a true story. Last year, due to the snow accumulation, a seven month old golden retriever, jumped over the park fence and ran into the street. It unfortunately was hit by a car, and died soon after. We had a lot of snow this year and I guess, Mom and Dad were afraid that the same thing would happen to me. They don't want to lose me. Dad went to the park first to see if it was safe for me. I guess it was!!!! I was soooo happy. I got to run free in all that snow and even played with the other dogs. One thing for sure, I got pooped very quickly. It was all worth it. I can't wait to go back.......
