LR spent the day at the vet getting checked. Her ears and tail are back to being scaly, dry, and losing fur. She isn't itchy or even red and the vet was a little stunned on why this is happening w/o any other symptoms! She had a skin scraping done and everything was normal. The vet is suspecting staph so he put her on a 14 day round of antibiotics and also a specific ear cleanser to cut down on yeast! If nothing has changed in the next 14 days, the vet is suspecting food, flea, and especially pollen allergy (because her eyes are running too).

Blah! I am so frustrated and wish I could find answers! Wish it were that easy. I'm just glad she isn't suffering... and I'm hoping it's ONLY a cosmetic issue : /

Sweet Lila Rae, I sure hope you feel better! I came from a bad BB also and I have to see a doggy dermatologist often. Right now I have sebborheah of the ears only. I'm on a topical spray, Duoxo Calm Get that works great!! It's made from raspberry seed extract. Also, even though I don't have much fur I get conditioner after shampoo cause dr sais that puts the moisture back in my skin. I'm also on a daily anti-fungal tiny piece of pill a day for a genetic issue with my skin due to bad breeding. So, I really really feel for you with your skin issues!
