Today I learned that while I am happily destroying the backyard (dig-dig-dig....) and the walls and moldings in the house (chew-chew-chew....) and the food (swallow, swallow, swallow...)

...that there are other creatures that even look exactly like me (some have that funny long thing attached to their behind which I love to pull on but we all have the same sparkle in the eyes and unconditional love to our humans ...)

...there are others who cannot dig, cannot chew, cannot even eat or drink(!).... I learned that there are dogs who lost their humans or were dumped by their loved ones (who they loved unconditionally)... they didn't commit any crime but were put on a death row or in prison! Some were lucky and now can dig and chew in their new homes, but others keep getting kicked out of another home for just being themselves!

And I even learned that a simple eat-drink thing can't be taken for granted -- my Mom told me about a dog named Foster who chokes every time he swallows because he has a fistula (hole) in his esophagus that connects to his airways, so the food and water get into his trachea! He needs surgery, but it costs al ot of money, and his foster mom has only raised so much, and while she is trying to raise more, he has to swallow ice cubes instead of drinking water! And he can develop pneumonia any time from aspirated food! And I bet it is also painful!

Early in his life this pup has lost his human who died and his little sister who went to another home... Hasn't he had a lot?

I asked my mom and dad to sent this pup some money because I don't have my bank acocunt yet, and I thought that maybe if other dogs learn about this pup we can all ask our humans to help him ?
