It seems like so long ago that I was born in a rescue and longed for a life outside the pen and to receive unconditional love from my own mommy and daddy. Anyways heres my story:

My momma dog was a rescue that went into a rescue in Ohio where there was over two hundred other dogs. One day she gave birth to me and my siblings.
I have a sister Sasha and a brother Rango, they and my momma are still at the rescue and I hope one day they will be as lucky as I have been.
It was a nice place where they feed us all and did what they could for us but I yearned for more. More one on one attention with people and to be out of my pen somewhere that I could run and place. One day this lady came to start volunteering at the rescue and she just fell in love with me, there was just something she seen in me that others did not see. Her name was Joyce and she showed me that there was someone out there that did love me and wanted what was best for me, a better life. We used to go to Petsmart on the weekends for adoption days with some of the other dogs. We would sit under the tree and pray that someone would come along and give me the chance that I could only dreamed about at this point. But no one ever came forward and wanted to take me home with them. Maybe because I wasn't a cute little puppy anymore and they didn't want a older dog. I felt sorry for Joyce when she would put me back into my pen and she would cry because it broke her heart over and over that I was still there. But I was strong and just looked forward to the next time she would come and get me out and we would go for our walks and sit under the tree and talk. Until one day Joyce came to my pen and was telling me all about this nice lady that spotted me on the website and was driving all the way from Canada to pick me up and take me home with her. We went for a walk and Joyce cried for joy for me and she knew now that everything was going to be okay. It was hard leaving my momma dog and siblings but I knew to be happy this had to be the way. My new mommy (Leslie) picked me up and we drove all the way back to Canada and I actually did really well on the ride. Leslie put me in obedience classes and I have come a long way with adjusting to my new home life. I know that there were some frustrating times for my new momma but she never gave up on me because she loves me dearly. It has been a year now and I have experienced life to its fullest, I could not have imagined having such a great life and I owe all this to my new mommy.

Note From Joyce:
Tosha has always been a great dog and I thank God every day that Leslie has given Tosha the one chance at happiness that she has always dreamed of.
Tosha will remain in my heart always.
All dogs are worthy of being someones life long companion, if they just had the chance to prove to that one person willing to let them.
Thank you Leslie for everything you have done for Tosha :)
