Thank you everyone for the kind words, and sweet thoughts for my mom. Thank you for the wings! Now I can really fly.

I crossed this morning...

Last night, mom found me wounded in the pen.
Mom and dad think a stray jumped the little fence and was after the food.
My mate, Chico had kept barking like mad until mom came outside.
Had he not alerted mom, I would have suffered alone all night.
This morning the vet said that not only would I loose at least one eye, but I probably had 'shaken-puppy syndrome' and major spinal damage.
I hurt so bad.
So, mom let me go.
A needless death.
Mom is sad, and Chico already misses me.
I wasn't even two yet.
Well, I'm off to enjoy my new life.
Say a prayer for my mommy, I know she's gonna miss me bad.

4. I have to stay in the cage with Chico while they finish the fence (not thrilled about this)
5. I have to stay with Rebamom or Chico when they are alone so they won't cry. Kind of a 'dog-sitter'
6. Chico and I are getting married this month!! We're planning the wedding now:)
7. I've learned to tell the little children in my life 'no'. Sometimes a girl just needs a break!!!

Happy or Upset?

The fam went for a walk with out me. I should be upset. Its the first one since we moved here (mom walked me in the front yard, but not a neighborhood walk like this). Mom, Dad, Mell, Rebamom, and Chico went. I stayed in. Alone, well actually with the bigpeopleboys. We sat inside, in the cool, on the couch, and watched tv. I really enjoyed it. Mom says I can go later, she wanted to try out Rebamom and Chico this time, it was their first real walk on a leash, to see how they did. Mom said they did GREAT! (of course my Rebamom and Chico are wonderful!) Hopefully mom will take us again, soon. I don't know if I want to go, or chill on the couch. hmmmm, such choices!!

Mom FINALLY powdered us!

Fleas fleas fleas! Mom dusted us with DE last wkend when she gave us worm stuff (I loves that worm stuff), and the DE didn't work, so today she and dad dusted us with 7dust. Finally! Now I'm a ugly shade of gray black. I'll be back to my shiny black soon. Mom needs to get off her rear and order some drops! These fleas stink! Well actually these fleas BITE!!! So now I'm off to snooze on a couch pillow-after all I AM a princess!

I wanted to add I loves me some Chico! He is my man! We play, we snuggle-we loves each other! Rebamom has taken him under her wing (so to speak) and is teaching him all the things a good chi/basset needs to know. Yep, good to be me!

I'M MARRIED!!!!

Well not yet but I'm gonna be! Yea, its an arranged marriage, but I love him. Mom has really good taste. His name is Chico Rufus Valentino. He was born Valentine's day-its true love! He's a little younger than me, actually a lot-I'm one, he's 6 months. But he will grow up, and I will only get better with age. He is so handsome and fun! I'm in love! Love with a younger man, yes I'm a cradle robber. And I'm ok with that!!!

Yet another wonderful day in my Perfect life!

Today we have the girls mom watches-I love being carried like a baby, petted, and watching tv with my girls. I've been hanging out back with my basset buds-dad will be putting a little fence border to the bottom of the wood fence so I can't sneak out. Honestly I'm excited. I like going out back with Mell and Reba, but when something happens on the other side of the fence, I can't help myself, I just HAVE to see whats going on, and often, I just HAVE to bark at it! The barking and the running loose gets me in trouble and mom makes me come in-cutting my outside time short. PLUS we are going to fence in the front yard!!! That's where my kitty family hangs out-and I must say-they know how to party. Speaking of party-Wednesday teenboy left me, Rebamom, and Mell in the big bedroom and while mom and dad were gone we PAR-TAY-ED! Mom and dad came home to find clothes, shoes, and trash everywhere. Mell ducked out, so Rebamom and I got all the credit;). It was FUN FUN FUN! I think we should have more parties around here-I'll have to speak to teenboy!
