The Anniversary of the Terrible Tornado.....May 22nd 2012 9:38 am[ Leave A Comment | 10 people already have ]
At 5:41pm one year ago today, our Mamma and us 5 dogs were hit by an EF5 Tornado. It does not seem like it was a year ago today...Mamma is still suffering from PTSD from this horrible Tornado.... Mamma took us all into the hallway and five seconds later she heard the sirens going off and then the house began to come apart....She got us into our bathroom and she was crying out for Harley Davidson...She heard whimpering from the back bedroom that had already been destroyed. She was crying and then she saw Harley in one of the dresser drawers. She got him out, and brought him into the bathroom with the rest of us. HE WAS NOT HURT, just scared. Mamma threw towels on all of us and laid on top of us, so hopefully nothing would fall on us, just her. She was hit by all kinds of debris and then the roof came off the house.....We were all soaked and scared...There were Angels all around us or we would not have survived. It took the firefighter volunteers 2 hours to get us out, the Tv

We're very thankful that you all are okay and we hope that the future is filled with much happiness. Thank You, Riley....We are very Blessed.... I just saw on the news today that it was 1yr ago today for that, and I immediatley thought of you all and how thankful we are that you all survived! Blessings this day for you. HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS We are so grateful all of you survived....Now you are in your brand new home,looking to the future. Starting a new lawn. The huge trees, that they came and planted, so you will have shade in the future. The nice front porch to sit on. Time does heal the wounds. It took alot of time for us and we didn't lose our home. We lost alot of out buildings that took 2 generations to build. Truly the biggest loss was the trees in the shelter belts. They had been there for 60 years. Hang in there ..we are always here for you. always in our prayers, hugs and kisses, mazy,precious,angels baby and foxie and Gma keda Your momma is a very strong person. We don't get storms like that where I am and we can't imagine what it must be like. Hard to believe it is already one year since that event. THANK YOU ALL for the sweet Comments!
