Arrival Story:
Caesar is adoptable through Virginia's Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation. He was originally rescued and adopted a couple of years ago but was recently returned when his family could no longer care for him. Caesar was pretty sad to lose them and it took a little while for this big boy to come out of a sad funk. These days this loyal guy is feeling better and looking for a new home! For now, he's settled into his foster home and enjoys playing with his foster brother, chewing toys, rolling in (and eating) the grass and getting a good daily walk. Oh, and of course, hitting the town for a ride in the car. For more pictures and updates, check out Caesar's blog @ http://caesarthebigbrowndog.blogsp ot.com/

Bio:
A note from the "Big Caes" himself: Howdy! Yep, it’s true. This handsome face needs a home! Can you believe it? First the sad stuff: I was pretty bummed when my family had to give me up recently... They adopted me a couple years ago but could no longer take care of me. We were all pretty sad about it. But, I'm getting to know my foster family and I'm ready to find my forever home! Some things about me: I've been up to lots of interesting things since I moved into my foster house. The first is my daily walks. I'm happy to go for a nice stroll in the morning or evenings before and after my foster parents go to work. The rest of the day, I’m pretty happy to relax and lounge. (My foster dad calls it laziness). Inside I have good house manners, I'm crate- and house-trained, a true Southern Gentlemen. Plus, like I mentioned, I don't have too much energy indoors. Occasionally my foster brother will manage to rile me up and get me romping in the backyard, but otherwise I’d rather be chew’n a bone, snoozing, or looking out the window for squirrels. When my foster parents are home, I like to check on them and make sure they’re ok, but I’m not too clingy. I also love to lounge in the backyard (and eat grass!). Sometimes the neighbors get a little scared of my big bark, but I'm just saying H-E-L-L-O! I also like to say hi to new people (and let my foster parents know that someone is stopping by with a good bark or two). I’m also a big fan of meeting dogs too - especially smaller dogs - my foster parents tell me I'm so gentle with them. I like to tell myself that I am a big, self assured dog. I mean, look at the size of my giant, handsome head! But, to be honest, big dogs sometimes scare me, and I don't quite know how to deal with them when I see them when I'm on my leash. So I'd like a family that can help me with this. (Preferably with the use of some nice incentives... I'm thinking hot dogs!) I'm also good with kids, but sometimes I play a little rough with my toys, so I'll probably do better with a family with older children. That’s about it. What can I say, I’m a simple guy. A walk, two square meals a day, bone to chew on, and most importantly, a person to lie next to – I’m happy! Come meet me at a Lost Dog Adoption Event or email my foster parents at lanadogfoster@gmail.com to learn more about me or schedule a time to meet.
