Bio:
I'm a Southern boy, originally from Georgia. Somehow I ended up in a local pound, but Lost Dog found me and rescued me! I may have faced some tough challenges in the past, but I sure do love life now! Although I'm a big guy, I like to think I'm still an appropriate lap size. My foster parents sometimes disagree. I've been up to lots of interesting things since I moved into my foster house. The first is lots of walking. I'm happy to go for a nice stroll in the morning and evenings before and after my foster parents go to work. When it gets warm out sometimes I get tired and lie down for a while or need a good romp in the creek to cool down. How did I ever survive the Georgia heat? I'm also learning to be really great on my leash. Most of the time I just like to walk next to my people. When I get really excited sometimes I bite my leash - I just can't help myself. My foster dad gets pretty upset when I do that, so I try not to, and I think I'm getting better! Inside I have pretty good house manners, I'm crate- and house-trained, a true Southern Gentlemen. Plus I don't have too much energy indoors. I like to play with my foster brother but when it's time to calm down, I do. I also love to run and lounge in the backyard. Sometimes the neighbors get a little scared of my big bark, but I'm just saying Hello! I love to say hi to new people (and let my foster parents know that someone is stopping by!). I love to say hello to new dogs too, especially smaller dogs - my foster parents tell me I'm so gentle with them! I'm also great with kids, but sometimes I play a little rough with my toys, so I'll probably do better with a family with older children. Come say hi to me at a Lost Dog Adoption Event!
