Happy Birthday to ME!

So last summer...I got a little brother named Angus. He's almost already bigger than me! But I look out for him and try to keep him out of trouble. I'm also showing him the ropes. We dig holes together and playfight a lot. I think I'm more grown up than I was last year...

And DD came home! For good, I think thankyouverymuch! He's around every day to play with and it's awesome having everyone together again!

R&R

Hihihihihi! Fourth of July thankyouverymuch! Love the fireworks. They don't make me nervous at all. I loooove sticking close to DM. Like on top of her close.

So DD came home for "R&R". I did not forget him or how he likes to play rough. We had a lot of fun, but when they left for a few days, I was worried they might not come back. When they did, I was sooooo happy! We had lots of people around and lots of food!

And then DD put on his uniform and left again. I don't want to get used to that. I'm ok, I just want him to come home again. I won't forget, thankyouverymuch!

Nonstop!

Every day there's something going on--I can barely keep up! New people in the house, old friends in the house, new places to go and new pups to meet. When it's time for bed I'm ready! Who knew this place would be so exciting?

But something strange happened. I heard DogDad call my name and I came running...but he wasn't there. I heard him over and over. It came out of the box that DogMom types on. I was real excited to hear him--and so was Girl--so when can we see him again???!!!

Reunion!

O boy o boy o boy! I took a looooong car trip with DogMom on Friday but it was all worth it! We drove up a mountain and when we went into this pretty house (with a fenced back yard) there were people I knew! My human pals Cheryl and Martha and Becky and BJ and new friends like Susan and Lynn, who gave me a nice soft bed and some yummy treats! A weekend all about ME thankyouverymuch!

Now, there were some strange things, like the scent of some other dog, and deer that didn't move, but all in all, I got lots of attention and petting and BJ took me outside to do business in a mink coat! Life can't get much better than that!

I'm not older! I'm not!

I don't care what they say...birthday...barkday...I don't feel any older. I'm still a pup at heart! I like to run and jump and dig and romp and dig and dig and dig--what? Sorry!

But I did like the big bone DM and Little M gave me today. I shared it with Girl. I'm getting good at sharing. I don't mind sharing my toys, but I'm not so keen on sharing my people. Girl doesn't ask for much, and for a change she's getting into trouble while my nose stays clean, thankyouverymuch!

Happy birthday to me! Whee!

What is that stuff?

It's falling from the sky...it's wet...it's white...and it's making everything it touches white, too. Including me! Whatisit whatisit whatisit???!!! Snow? What is this snow? It tastes like rain, but it's sticking to my fur and making me a white puppy instead. I'm trying to catch some...over here...over there...here...there!

Company!

My pal Girl is staying with us for a few days. She's a lab/chow mix, and pretty laid back. Still, even if she doens't romp much, it's nice to have some company in the house when DD, DM and Little M are away.

DD was home this past week--he's the one who brought Girl over--it was so good to see him and play with him and snuggle up to him. He plays with me different than the others, and I've really missed him. I think he's still going away for a long time, though. I'll be a big boy when he comes home!

Election Day

My name is Stewie, and I approve this ad.

I don't want to share my kong or it's stuffing. I don't want to share my water bowl or my food bowl, or the things inside them. I don't want to share my rawhides (especially the ones that taste like peanut butter). I know there are less fortunate pups...and it makes me sad. But I'm a captialist dog and I work hard for the things I have.

I do not need them redistributed. Not by DogMom, DogDad, or Little M. And certainly not by anyone at the local, state or federal level of government.

Blue

DD left very early this morning in his uniform. He took little M out with him--he probably gets to go to Grannys. DM was very sad after they left. She made some noises only my hears could possibly hear. Then she went back to bed, but she couldn't go to sleep, even if I snuggled up beside her. Something strange is going on...I think DD is going to be away a while. I hope he remembers me. I hope he doesn't love another dog in my place. More than anything, I hope time goes by fast and he comes home safe.

My world

My world has now been defined by boards, nails, and a doggy door. Good thing the yard is HUGE and has a patio, big rocks, and some shrubbery thankyouverymuch! DD worked really hard on the fence, but I'm still a little questionable about the doggy door...sometimes it smacks me in the head. Or the rear. I'm gonna keep trying to get it right!
