An "Ode to Mommy"!

It’s Mother’s Day……Today Mom, I thank you for so many things. I thank you for adopting me; I thank you for not noticing I eat my own poop; I thank you for not being mad when I get a hold of the cat’s poop; I thank you for letting me sleep on your bed; I thank you for all of the great walks and good food; I thank you for adopting Meemo and Lily Rose because they’re my best friends; and mostly I thank you because you love me Mom : )

Rolling in bird poop will ruin your whole day....trust me!

Well, Dad was in charge of the morning walk this morning, so Meemo and I took advantage of that fact! Meemo took off to the park and I found some bird poop to roll in! BOL! Dad didn't know who to save first.....Meemo who was three doors up at the park or me getting filthy with what Dad can only surmise was an eagle or condor poop!

Mom knew there'd be trouble when she saw our leashes laying in the driveway......There's always trouble when Dad likes to see us run free and more trouble for him when he gets caught by Mom. BOL!!

So the moral of the story is..............rolling in bird poop, cat poop or road kill will get you a bath every time!

I'm no Esther Williams.........................

Raise your paw if you knew that Maltese could swim - I've only been here two days and I've already found that I can swim!! Now, I'm no Esther Williams, but I did a pretty mean dog paddle to try to get to my new Daddy. Mom thinks that either I was baptizing myself into my new home or what is more likely is that I was taking a shortcut to my new Daddy who I seem to be glued to. Daddy wasn't in the pool....he was pulling weeds and planting flowers on the opposite side Mommy was on. Mommy plucked me out before I could get to Daddy....Yeesh!

I'm having fun so far. I've learned very quickly how to walk on a leashe and I met some new friends that I like a lot.

My brother Meemo is very sweet to me and has given me two of his toys.

I'm still working on my potty manners, but other than that, I've been a real good girl.

I can't wait to make new friends here on Dogster and meet Gracie, Meemo and Tucker's friends too!

I'm off to finish helping Daddy fix the dishwasher - he calls me "Daddy's little helper!"
