Arrival Story:
After researching Shiba's for a very long time, we decided to get serious about finding a breeder. Not an easy task, but after searching I found one that was nearly 4 hours away from our home. After seeing a photo, we drove to meet with the breeder. She had 2 Shiba pups left from the litter. I decided that the one that came running to me when I got down on my knees would be the one that was "chosen" for me. Still, I had my eye on the show quality pup with the bouncy step! I kneeled down and that bouncy pup came running to me, licking me profusely, while the other one sat grooming herself. We played for a long time before I was certain that she was definitely the one that was "the one." Of course, hubby wanted them both because leaving one was sad! Nakita has been a tremendous challenge, but that bouncy step still gets me everytime!
