To Sully from Mommy & Daddy on your 3rd "Gotcha Day"

On March 26th, 2007...you came to us, a true gift from heaven.
We'd all had our dark days, that seemed never ending...
You, alone, lost and in fear; us, two years of grieving & tears.
We'd lost our "Buddy" in 2005 and merely breathing kept us alive...
The house was empty and so were we, we'd no idea what your love would mean.

The first time we saw you, we knew right away,
you'd come to our home and here you would stay.
We've always felt 'twas divine intervention...
and the love we all share was surely intention!

You brought us back so much love, fun and joy
We're grateful each day for you, our dear boy!
The touch of you fur, the comfort you bring
your very presence makes our hearts sing!
The love you've returned with each smile on your face...
Surely, this gift was one of pure grace!

We love you so much, our sweet precious Sully...
worth so much more than a kings ransom in money!
For as long as we live and as long as you can...
Nothing could ever part us from you, little man!

Happy 3rd "Gotcha Day" to our beloved Sully...our gratitude for having you in our lives is beyond what mere words can express!

We love you with all our hearts,
Mommy & Daddy

Yappy New Year Everypup & Peep...we had so much fun at- Christmas!

Wow, man, we made out like bandits on Christmas!! We got so many gifts and wonderful cards from pup pals and our neighbors and we loved everything and were very touched by everyone's kindness to us all!

Our best present was that our Daddy was here with us and getting better day by day!! We can't thank all of you enough for all the support you gave us during those very dark, long months...you guys are pawsome!!

OK, so then there was the pawty! Some of our neighbors came over and Mom and Dad pawtied like it was 1969 awright!! Mom's still recovering from a bit too much celebratory vino!! She's not used to drinking and Daddy had a couple of beers, too. We cranked up the music, danced and played Pictionary. We haven't all laughed that much in such a long time. Of course, we (Sully & Socks) were right in the middle of everything, getting lots of petting and treats and wondering why Mommy & Daddy were getting so happy (but, we're not complaining). It was so much fun...and, the best part was that Daddy told Mommy what a good time he had....YES!!!

A white Christmas, tons of prezzies & rosies (thank you all so much!) and a pawty that got really rowdy....we couldn't have asked for a better Christmas!!

Hope all of you had as much fun as we did and we're holding in our hearts all pups and peeps who aren't doing too well...you're in our prayers!

Happy New Year...we hope it's a good one for all!!

AROOOOO...we're SO excited!!! Our weather forecast is calling for 6-12" of SNOW starting tonight and all through the day tomorrow!! We can't wait! We love to play in the snow and so does our Mom (she's gonna build a snowman with the neighbor down the street)!!

OMD, Mom!!

OK, so we're dogs and we have FUR! So, we ask...."Mom, WHY do we have to wear jackets when it's cold or rainy outside?!" Apparently, Mom & Dad don't hear our objections and feel that keeping our bodies warmer will keep us from catching colds (yup, doggies can catch colds!) and, thus, prevent illness & vet bills. So, if it means we don't have to go to the vet, we guess we'll just deal with it and make Mom and Dad happy!

Humans really think differently that us pups, but we know they love us and we just have to put up with their quirks! Are your peeps as nutty as ours???

Sigh....

WOOOHOOO...we're having our first snow today and it's coming down in buckets!! Mom let us go out on the deck and play in the snow and we had a ball wearing ourselves out & getting totally soaked...she got soaked, too, taking our pictures (it's a very wet snow).

Daddy went out front (we couldn't play out there 'cause the pawrents don't trust us not to make a jail break & take off) and knocked the heavy snow off our bushes which were leaning way low. Hopefully they won't break now.

We're having so much fun getting ready for Christmas! Mom is making most of our Christmas presents this year (lots of pictures in frames for our friends & family) and has been working on them for about a month now. It's very time consuming, but Mom's enjoying it and hope everyone will like their presents 'cause they're homemade!
We're going to try to put up our big white tree this weekend.

Our Daddy is so much better now and that makes us all really happy...best Christmas gift we could get!

We hope all our pup pals and their families are having fun and are healthy...and our prayers go out to any in need of POTP!

Enjoy this wonderful season everypup & peep!!

We love all of our pals a whole lot!

We want to wish all our Dogster pals and their families and very Happy Thanksgiving!

We are so grateful for all the wonderful friends we've met on Dogster and the outpouring of support from all of you during our Daddy's long recover from his third heart attack on June 15th.

Of course, we are so thankful this day (and every day) that our Daddy is still with us and is recovering. He's doing so well that he's actually going to cook our Thanksgiving dinner today! Mom made three pies yesterday and we're having some of our neighbors who don't have family stop by during the day...they've all been so wonderful to us and helped us during all those months that Daddy was so sick.

We wish all of you happiness and good health and our prayers go out to any pups in need. You are all so very special to us!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

We're baaaaack!

Well, after a five month break from working on our page, Mom finally put some new picture of us on it...mainly to show how well our Daddy has recovered from his third heart attack on June 15, 2009. We were all beginning to think Daddy would never get any better...he was so sick for so long and we all missed him so much. But now, it looks like our pack is ok again and we can't thank all of our Dogster pals enough for all the support, cards, phone calls, rosettes and more while Mom was so busy taking care of Daddy! You guys are AWESOME!

Much love to all,
Sully & Socks

Dedicated to Dear Friends Who Went to the Bridge in July- 2008...

July 18-22, 2009 marks the one year anniversary of the journey of some of our dear friends to the Rainbow Bridge and we are dedicating our thoughts this week to them and their families, remembering all to well this week last year:

Remo the Red Turning White (Dogster ID#106064) was a beautiful red Golden Retriever who lived in Chicago with his Mom & Dad and sister "Lucky Lucy" (also a Golden Retriever) and brother WINston XXLP (a beautiful & sweet English Bulldog). Remo's family did all that love could do to save him, but he went to the Bridge with a big, loving smile to his family on July 18th (also his Daddy's birthday...can you imagine!) at 9:00am CST and joined his sister "Honey Bunny" (also a Golden Retriever who'd gone to the Bridge in June 2006, Dogster ID#106060). Many of us who knew Remo & were with his family in spirit during those last weeks will be holding tinfoil stars to the sun at 9:00am CST on Saturday, July 18th. Remo's family is celebrating Remo's life through his diary this week....to remember the joy, not the pain. Our hearts are with them in celebration & remembrance of dear, sweet Remo.

Snoopy was a little Boston Terrior (Dogster ID#608755) in Kentucky who was pregnant during this week last year. On July 22nd, 2008, Snoopy gave birth to 8 puppies and sadly went to the Bridge shortly after giving birth to the puppies. All of the puppies passed over very soon except two...Blossom & Little Snoopy, who survived for a short time after being born. Blossom succumbed first, but Little Snoopy held on for several weeks, however it was not meant to be and Little Snoopy went to join the others at the Rainbow Bridge. The family did everything possible to save Blossom & Little Snoopy, but their heroic efforts were not in the plan for Little Snoopy. We hope they know we are thinking of them this week and remember all they went through last year. We send our love & comfort to the family.

Here's to you, Angel Sam!!

When we first joined Dogster in March of 2008, it was only Sully and Mom (oh, Socks visited occasionally, but she wasn't in our pack yet).

One of the first friends we made was Sam (Dogster ID#676854) who was fighting cancer with all his might. Sam was funny & sweet and we so enjoyed our time with him until he crossed over the Bridge on June 27, 2008. Sam (in typical upbeat style) said it's so beautiful in Heaven and he was already enjoying himself...it made us happy that he was no longer in pain from the cancer that took him. Sam and his family fought a valiant effort during the last few months, but he finally succumbed and all who knew him were deeply saddened.

Our thoughts this week are with Sam's family...brofur "Charlie" & sistfur "LouLou de Labradoodle" and Mom and we know they have found peace in knowing their beloved Sam is now watching over them.

Sam was very, very dear to us and we were heartbroken at his loss. God gained a very special angel when Sam crossed the bridge!

So...until we meet again...here's to you Angel Sam...we love you!!
