OMD, Mom!!

OK, so we're dogs and we have FUR! So, we ask...."Mom, WHY do we have to wear jackets when it's cold or rainy outside?!" Apparently, Mom & Dad don't hear our objections and feel that keeping our bodies warmer will keep us from catching colds (yup, doggies can catch colds!) and, thus, prevent illness & vet bills. So, if it means we don't have to go to the vet, we guess we'll just deal with it and make Mom and Dad happy!

Humans really think differently that us pups, but we know they love us and we just have to put up with their quirks! Are your peeps as nutty as ours???

AROOOOO...we're SO excited!!! Our weather forecast is calling for 6-12" of SNOW starting tonight and all through the day tomorrow!! We can't wait! We love to play in the snow and so does our Mom (she's gonna build a snowman with the neighbor down the street)!!

Yappy New Year Everypup & Peep...we had so much fun at- Christmas!

Wow, man, we made out like bandits on Christmas!! We got so many gifts and wonderful cards from pup pals and our neighbors and we loved everything and were very touched by everyone's kindness to us all!

Our best present was that our Daddy was here with us and getting better day by day!! We can't thank all of you enough for all the support you gave us during those very dark, long guys are pawsome!!

OK, so then there was the pawty! Some of our neighbors came over and Mom and Dad pawtied like it was 1969 awright!! Mom's still recovering from a bit too much celebratory vino!! She's not used to drinking and Daddy had a couple of beers, too. We cranked up the music, danced and played Pictionary. We haven't all laughed that much in such a long time. Of course, we (Sully & Socks) were right in the middle of everything, getting lots of petting and treats and wondering why Mommy & Daddy were getting so happy (but, we're not complaining). It was so much fun...and, the best part was that Daddy told Mommy what a good time he had....YES!!!

A white Christmas, tons of prezzies & rosies (thank you all so much!) and a pawty that got really rowdy....we couldn't have asked for a better Christmas!!

Hope all of you had as much fun as we did and we're holding in our hearts all pups and peeps who aren't doing too're in our prayers!

Happy New Year...we hope it's a good one for all!!

To Sully from Mommy & Daddy on your 3rd "Gotcha Day"

On March 26th, came to us, a true gift from heaven.
We'd all had our dark days, that seemed never ending...
You, alone, lost and in fear; us, two years of grieving & tears.
We'd lost our "Buddy" in 2005 and merely breathing kept us alive...
The house was empty and so were we, we'd no idea what your love would mean.

The first time we saw you, we knew right away,
you'd come to our home and here you would stay.
We've always felt 'twas divine intervention...
and the love we all share was surely intention!

You brought us back so much love, fun and joy
We're grateful each day for you, our dear boy!
The touch of you fur, the comfort you bring
your very presence makes our hearts sing!
The love you've returned with each smile on your face...
Surely, this gift was one of pure grace!

We love you so much, our sweet precious Sully...
worth so much more than a kings ransom in money!
For as long as we live and as long as you can...
Nothing could ever part us from you, little man!

Happy 3rd "Gotcha Day" to our beloved Sully...our gratitude for having you in our lives is beyond what mere words can express!

We love you with all our hearts,
Mommy & Daddy

Rest in Peace Our Dear Friend Rocky

Today we had to say goodbye to one of our dearest friends on Dogster, Rocky, the regal black Lab in Buffalo, NY. Rocky went to the beautiful bridge this morning after battling cancer. Rocky was a friend to all and we will miss his beautiful spirit always. Our hearts and prayers are with Rocky's family who gave him a life filled with love.

Godspeed, sweet Rocky, and now you are restored to youth and can run free and happy at the Bridge with so many who have gone before you. We'll all be together some day. Till then, know that we love you dearly and will always remember your kindness to all and your regal bearing.

To Rocky's family, we extend our deepest heartfelt sympathy and pray for them to have the strength to get through the days to come. Rocky will always be only a though away and will live in your hearts forever.

With deepest sadness,
Sully, Socks, Mom & Dad

Request from Rocky's Family

So many have asked what to do to best honor Rocky's life, as he was such a dear and precious friend to so many here on Dogster. His family is requesting that anyone wishing to honor Rocky's memory, rather than sending the family anything, please send donations in his name to:

SPCA Serving Erie County, New York
205 Ensminger Road
Tonawanda, NY 14150
(716) 875-7360

Rocky's family is overwhelmed and deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support from the Dogster community and want to answer each in time, but, understandably are grieving so deeply right now that the task is just too much to handle. They truly appreciate each and every message and want to send their love to all. When they are able, they will be back with us here on Dogster.

Easter wishes...

We want to wish all our pup pals a lovely Easter (wish we have enough zealies to send everyone a rosie...our present balance is 0!)

For those pals who have recently lost dear ones, our hearts are with you as you struggle through this most difficult time. Our thoughts are also with our human friends, many of whom are fighting their own health or injury problems. This has been a hard year for many so far and we are praying things will get better for all.

Spring has really sprung here in VA, warming up and flowers popping out everywhere after such a harsh winter.

Sully & Socks are both doing well and Mom & Dad are trying to deal with their own health issues (aging ain't for sissys, for sure!).

We wish all of you peace, comfort, love, joy and good health!

Who is "Anonymous"??

We have received two adorable ladybug rosies from "Anonymous" and want to thank whomever it is (hope we're not bugging someone, BOL!).

The past two weeks have been very sad for many of us here on Dogster. We lost two precious pals, "Rocky" and "Cocobear" and our hearts are so heavy with sadness for their families...we pray they will find comfort in the love of all who knew them and care so deeply for them.

Many of our hooman friends are going through struggles of their own with various health issues and we wish them all rapid healing and good wishes for those having procedures and surgeries.

Dogster is our haven through good times and bad and we're so thankful for all of our dear friends here.

Mother's Day Wishes

We want to wish all our pals' Moms a very Happy Mother's Day. For some of you, this day will be a hard one and we're holding you close in our hearts. Your angels are watching over you.

We wish our Mom a happy day, too...she always does her best to make sure she takes good care of us and we know she loves us so very much.

Our thoughts are with all the pups who aren't lucky enough to have Moms...we wish they all could find homes.

Max, sweetheart, your Mommy was killed in a car crash nearly two years ago and we want you to know our love and thoughts are with you. We did all we could for you and are sorry we couldn't help you find a loving home. You're in our pawrayers, sweet boy.

For all the Moms who are not feeling well or having troubles, we send tons of Power of the Paw to you.

Much love to all~
