Wow, pups! 3 years ago, on Leap Day 2008, I came here to my forever home. Looking back makes me (and mom!) realize how far I've come! I was a puppy mill rescue and didn't trust ANYONE, BOL! It took me a few weeks just to go near mom. I bit her several times, I'm sorry to say (now :) ) I hid under the table until everyone left the room, then would crawl on my belly to my bowl, totally scared the entire time. I'm still a little jumpy, but who can blame a pup?? But, when mom says 'come eat', you can bet I'm running to my bowl - I have to, if I don't eat all my food up, Rosie will. She goes around licking everyone's bowl when they're done. EEWWW!!
I'm in a great forever home, mom loves, loves, loves her little Bug, the others are okay as sisters go. When we lost The Princess last year, we were all pretty sad. Then Rosie came to live with us, and mom said her joy was back. She's small like Twiggy was, but she's no princess, BOL!! She and I have a lot of fun playing and taking toys from one another. I snap at her every now and then (I can't help myself - it's the hypothyroidism. That's my story and I'm not changing it!), but Rosie doesn't let it bother her one bit. She snaps right back, pups!
I pretty much had the whole seizure thing under control until last week. The pharmacy where mom gets my thyroid meds switched brands and gave mom generic pills. It only took a week, and I passed out again. I was having so much fun outside - it was the first time we were able to play outside in 3 months! I was chasing the other chi-girls, and zooming Lily when I started coughing and out I went! Mom scooped me up, brought me inside and was able to get me to respond, but I threw up the Nutri-Cal. She didn't have Haagen-Daas anymore since I hadn't passed out in two years, so she gave me cake, pups!! WOOHOO! I like cake. So, another round of tests at Dr. Ashley's office and the levels were normal. However, mom says Dr. Ashley only did the T-3 tests, and not the T-6 tests like mom thought she would. Mom says she may ask for that when I go for my annuals this month. Uh-oh.
Well, it's late and I'm worn out - I've been throwing Mildred around and fighting with her most of the night. She's a foot-long loofa dog, twice my size, but I don't let that stop me! I beat her up every time, BOL!
Kissies! Coco Bug
