I'm home from my heartworm treatments!

I came home today from being treated for those heartworms. Boy, those treatments are tough. I don't feel so good at all. All I want to do is sleep, and my tummy doesn't feel good either. My mom tries to get me to eat my treats after I take my walks, but I really don't want them. I ate them, because she asked me to, but they didn't even taste good to me. She cooked some chicken for me at suppertime, and I ate a bite or two. She seemed like she was happy I ate anything. I think she is worried about me. I am staying very close to her, because I was scared when she left me at the vet's. I don't want her to leave me again, ever. I love my mom. I think everybody was glad to see me. My human brother, Paul, came with mom to pick me up. And he did have to pick me up, literally! I couldn't even jump into the van. Usually, that is no problem for me. But when I got home, I did jump out of it. Home is GOOD, GOOD, GOOD! Fred was glad to see me, but she got all excited and wanted to play. I just didn't want to. I feel very nervous and jumpy, and I hollered when my human sister, Shelby, stepped over me. I didn't mean to scare her! She just startled me. It's been a long couple of days, sis! We have a new brother who is just a little tiny guy. His name is Frodo, and he's a chihuahua. He's a pain in my butt, too. He wanted to play, and I finally had to growl at him to make him go away. I like him okay, but today was NOT the day! I will close for now and write more when I feel better. Thanks to all who kept me in their thoughts and prayers, because those heartworms were worse than the vet thought at first. I know I will be better very soon, though, because my mom takes the very best care of me! Love, Copper
