Wow, What an Honor! I was Chosen Fur Diary of the Day Today!

Hi Furs!

Wow, what a week! Mom and I are overjoyed! First I was chosen as Dog of the Day to represent Dogster and now I have received the honor of having my dairy chosen as the Dairy of the Day! I sure don't know what I did to deserve all of this but I sure am happy and proud! My mommy is so excited!

Thank you to all my wonderful furiends and the Dogster crew fur this very special day, and week! I feel so honored and all of us angels here at the Rainbow Bridge are pawtying it up! The sun is shining down on us all and our beautiful angel wings are reflecting the rays of the sunshine in every color of the rainbow. Thanks fur remembering us angels!I feel that this honor not only belongs to me but to all of us angels here at the Bridge. It is truly a special day fur us all! We know that even though we are no longer with you on earth you are with us in spirit, love, and eternal furiendship as we are with you. Love lives on furever, and I love you all! Thank you again fur such a lovely honor!

Wow! I am Dogster's DOTD!!!

Wow, mom is certainly overjoyed today! She found out that I was to represent Dogster as the Dog of the Day! What an honor! I am so happy that the Dogster team decided to pick an angel to be DOTD and that the angel was me! Thanks to all who wrote and congratulated me on being DOTD, you are very special furiends! Mom looks forward to spending more time on Dogster now, she still misses me dearly but we have to get a page going fur my brofur Finn! Whoo-hoo, all us angels up here are partying it up!! Imagine, lil ole me receiving such an honor! Thanks furiends and thanks to the Dogster crew fur choosing me! This made my mommy's day! Whoo-hoo!

Today it has been a little over a year since my passing to the Bridge. Until now mom was not able to log into Dogster because she broke into tears every time. Time has helped the tears from falling and now mom wants to get involved back in Dogster. She knows how much I love her and watch over her, that has been evident in the last year.

I want to thank Pam, Flicka, and Lucas for helping mom to fix my page. Dogster has really changed since the last time mom was active.

Thanks to all my pals, I am really lookin forward to getting back to know you!

1. What color is your collar? - It was red, mom keeps it next to my box of ashes since I am now a fur angel.

4. Do you have a Valentine or significant other? Not while I was here on earth but mom thinks I have one now in heaven!

6. What is your favorite toy? - I didn't play with toys much since I was older but when I was a pup I used to love this stuffy that mom bought me from the Three Dog Bakery.

My Dearest Furiends,

Yesterday at noon PST I arrived at the Rainbow Bridge. It turns out that I had cancer. I had been ill fur a couple of months prior and mom took me the dogtor many times and they ran a battery of tests on me. They thought I had a thyroid condition at first, then I developed a fungal infection, then they thought I might be diabetic. None of the meds were working and on Monday the 23 I was in so much pain that mom could no longer stand to see met that way. Mom had a feeling fur a while that there was much more going on inside me than my dogtor was catching on too, but she did what they told her to do and gave me my meds. Come Monday night I could not even sleep I was in so much pain. Mom stayed up with me all night and we went to my favorite place, the beach, for one last time. I did not get out of the car, but I could smell the ocean and knew I was at my favorite place. Mom and I hung out she told me how much I have helped her get through some very difficult times in her life. She told me over and over how much she loves me and explained that I would be going to see all my furiends that are already at the Rainbow Bridge. She told me that I would get a beautiful set of angel wings. I would no longer be in pain but still be with mom furever in her heart and soul. Mom is having me cremated so that she will always have a part of me with her. She bought me a beautiful wooden box with my name engraved to carry my ashes in. She is still going to take me to the beach that way and sit with me and remember all the great times we had together.

I want to thank all my wonderful furiends fur being so kind to my mom right now. She is not coping well and feels empty and alone inside. Thank you to all you wonderful Dogster humans fur helping mom to cope. You are more help than you will ever know.

I love you all and will never furget you. I will see you all again one day at the Bridge.

Hi furs!

Today I met the sweetest fur named Dee-Dee! She has the most precious story ever. Her mommy rescued her in time before she was PTS! What a wonderful story. Dee-Dee I am so happy that you have found a wonderful furever home!

Dee-Dee has tagged me! I feel so honored! So here goes furs, this is what we do. The rules are to write 7 interesting facts about yourself in your diary & then tag 7 other doggies or kitties by a leaving a rosette OR a p-mail.

1. I was found by my mommy's neighbors when I was abandoned between their house and mommy's house.
2. Mommy took me in when the neighbors could not find anyone to claim me.
3. I had to be bottle and dropper fed fur three weeks because when I was found mommy took me to the vet and they said I was only three weeks old, too young to be away from my fur mom.
4. I try to talk like a human! I make all kinds of funny sounds that sound like I am trying to talk when you talk to me. I really am trying to communicate with you!
5. When I sit down or lay down by my mommy I have to have a part of my body touching one of her feet. I guess it is a security thing.
6. I love the beach! It is my favorite place in the whole world. I will do anything to try and bribe mom into letting me get in the water even if it is cold outside!
7. I will be nine years old this year and I have had the most wonderful life a fur could ever ask fur!

I have several collars, a regular red one, a leather one with my name ingraved on it, a red leather one, a pink one, and several others. Most of the time I wear my regular red one though.

2. What kind of food do you eat?
I eat dry Science Diet R/D from my vet with a little Iams canned food mixed in.

3. What are your favorite treats?
I love Greenies and Trader Joes peanut butter dog bones with Glucosamine.

4. Do you have a Valentine or significant other?
No, I am a single, independent fur lady!

5. Do you get Table Scraps?
I used to get more but since I am on a diet I don't get as much. My favorites are chicken and prime rib.

6. What is your favorite toy?
I don't play too much with toys anymore but I got a cool toy from my furiend Jameson in the Secret Santa exchange and I love it! It is a big blue ball that has hard treats on each end. I like it because I can lick on it furever and it lasts a long time! Plus, it is refillable!

7. When is your Birthday?
Mom's neighbors found me as an abandonded pup and mom took me in so we don't know my real birthday. Mom took me to the vet the day after she found me and the vet estimated mybirthday to be in the first week of September. We celebrate my birthday on the first of September.

8. How many times a day do you get to eat?
I get fed twice a day as prescribed by my vet.

9. Do you have a favorite color?
Well mom kind of picked red fur my favorite color because she thinks I look good in it!

10. Do you hope all your pals put this in their diary?
I sure hope so!

Hi Furs!

Hi pup's. My pal Pookah passed me a football. Now I have to hurry and pass it to five of my team mates so they can make a touch down. You are also supposed to write down five thing's about yourself that are funny. Also leave a bone for the one that passed you the football so they will know you have been to their page and read their diary. Ok here goes.

1. If you rub my belly my right back leg will start moving like I am trying to run in place.

2. When I want my back rubbed I will sit down in front of you just far enough away that I know you can't reach me and I will make you move up for me! ( Yes, I am spoiled!)

3. I was attacked by a big doggy when I was just a pup so it scared me of other furs. So now when a doggy runs up to play with me I will snarl and scare them away and then cry for them to come back and play with me after they run away! ( Go figure!)

4. I don't like tile or hardwood floors to much. Sometimes I make mom lay out a sheet or towel fur me to walk on, kind of like a red carpet because I am a princess.

5. I love to swim and you can't keep me out of lakes, rivers, streams, beaches, etc. BUT.........when it rains I hate to walk and get my paws wet!

Hey furs!

I have been tagged by my great furiend Zoe! I have to list seven things about myself and then tag seven furs and have them do the same! So, here goes!

1. I will be nine years old this year!

2. My new favorite treat is fresh beef jerky from the butcher.

3. Mom and I are getting ready to move soon to a brand new condo with a fireplace!

4. Mom finally found a part time job so I am going to have to stay home by myself fur part of the day, which I am not happy about.

5. I really, really miss my furiends on Dogster and the time that mom and I used to spend here.

6. The dogtor has finally ruled out my skin problem as a condition that can be cured by taking antibiotics. Mom has got me started on the first round and already sees an improvement. The hair is already growing back on my face and tips of my ears.

7. I have a new favorite toy! Mom had thought that in my older age toys were a thing of the past fur me because everything she bought me I just stuck my nose up in the air and walked away from it. But then I got this pawesome toy from my Secret Santa Jameson in the Secret Santa exchange and I can't keep my mouth and paws off of it! It is called the Everlasting Treat Ball, and let me tell you furs it is the best toy ever!
