my tail...

yes i have a tail...it was not docked, so what?

nobody i know or came across with knows who set the standard of having mini pinschers' tails docked (you may inform me if you know). it just makes me growl everytime someone (and mind you, it happens all the time) would tell my human, "masmaganda yan kung pinaputulan mo ng buntot!" ouch! i do understand their point because it's the norm..minpins have docked tails. but my guardians don't deserve those weird looks as if saying they are negligent and oblivious dog owners! you see, they got me when i was 3 months old...they didn't know anything about my breed then, when they brought me to the Vet for checkup...the vet insinuated that my ears should be cropped and my tail should be docked. Imagine the scenario...my guardians were worried because i was coughing a bit that time, the minute they walked in the clinic, they told the problem to the Vet...but instead of giving them first the remedy to my cough..the vet urged them to let me undergo these surgeries (cropping&docking)! my guardian, Ate Sam, researched on the internet and learned that tail-docking should be done within the week after the minpin was born, and of course, it would be difficult for a 3-month old minpin because its tail has bones already. so to make the long story short, my tail was not docked by choice! and we're proud of it! my guardians love it when my tail is wagging heartily everytime i'm excited, sometimes my waggling tail complements my sparkling and "paawa" eyes if i wanted to get away with something (proven! that really works!)

tell you what, i believe that this standard is just for aesthetic reasons...parang sa tao, standard or ideal vital stats for women 36-24-36, dapat rebonded ang hair, matangos ang ilong, etc. etc. sana pwede ko rin sabihin sa mga tao na yun na "masmaganda ka sana kung magpa-lipo ka!" ahehehehe. peace!

treats or treats

we went to another halloween event at Eastwood last Oct. 30 (saturday), i went there with my boyfriend, Bruno who was in a Skeleton costume. but unfortunately, it rained and the costume contest was cancelled. in consolation, they just gave away lots of freebies which Im now munching. hehehe...

my Ate Sam's been rewarding and praising me for the past week because she said im now growing matured...i bark less often now. and im proud of it! They're always telling me that maybe it's because im now an adolescent...so im not that stubborn anymore. *smile*

Halloween event

i joined a Halloween Pet Costume contest last Sunday, oct. 24 at Eastwood City...i was in a cute green fairy costume (inspiration: Tinkerbell) given by Ate Sam.

I could say I got the attention of many people...they always whisper, "cute!" evertime i pass by them. ü but as usual, i wasn't able to control my temper for i barked and barked to let out all my excitement for the event.

unfortunately, i didnt win but my Ate Sam told me it's ok sicne it's the first major contest i joined in. so better luck next time to me!

im now an "ATE"!

ATE (a-te) : big sister

yup that's right! im now a big sister! though im not quite sure if im happy about it! haha! last friday, they brought a dachshund in the house...he kinda looks like Bruno but with droopy long ears and more acrobatic body.

he smells awful when i sniffed him! he hasn't taken a bath yet...but anyway, i still played with him so he could feel that he's welcome (though im still not really sure if i should be happy now that im not the "baby" anymore). everytime i jump on Nacho (that's his name) Kuya Miko & Ate Sam are always overreacting! yes i do bite him but it was just a little gentle playful bite...*sigh* Ate Sam told me that i should just wait first for Nacho to grow up like me before i could play with him like that because nacho might get fractured because im too ehavy for him.

but anyhow, im still happy to have a new playmate in him...now im sure of that.ü we even sleep together! and i lick him every morning to wake him up! oh man...he really sleeps a lot...LOL reminds me of how much i sleep when i was his age.Ü

dine-in

yesterday i was able to go to two dining establishments...at lunch, we ate at this small eatery, thank goodness they allowed me inside...so i really did my best to behave. good thing Ate Sam was giving me pieces of liver that i can munch under the table. LOLz

afternoon came, kuya marlowe fetch us up and then we went to a coffee shop...it was fun! coz the security guard was so nice to me...he kept on waving at me and making funny noises and make-face while Ate Sam and Kuya Marlowe were sipping their frapuccino. i hope there would be more considerate people and establishments who would allow pets in the future!üüü

i won! i won!

our village held a pet blessing ceremony today. lots of doggies were gathered in our parish...all kinds...even scary big dogs (but im not saying i was scared...i was not). i went there with my boyfriend-to-be, Bruno and my brother, Baron. Ate Sam and Kuya Miko ordered a custom-made dress for me. it's a haltered and backless dress,color yellow on top and fuschia pink on the bottom. I could say that I really looked pretty on it coz all eyes were on me when we arrived at the venue...im sure that Bruno was mesmerized with my beauty!ÜÜÜ

after the blessing, there was a contest for the Best Costume...3 doggies were awarded...and of course, i was one of them!ü i won the title "Most Unique Costume"! the prize was a gold (im just not sure if it's real gold) medal...though i wish they also gave doggy treats as prize..but it's ok i was loving the attention anyway!ÜÜÜ

my future boyfriend

last sunday, Kuya marlowe (my Ate sam's boyfriend) went to our house...he was with this little black&tan minpin...i was really curious then i wanted to sniff on him right away but he was in a cage...when they took him out...they introduced us. His name is Bruno, Ate said that he's gonna be my boyfriend when we grow older...he's really smaller than me since he's just 1-month old...oh...i hope he grows fast, so we can play til we go mad! LOLz

not allowed

yesterday, i was so excited to meet Ate Chise's older brother in Dusit Hotel Nikko. everythign was goin fine, a number of security guards let us pass but when we finally got inside, the head guard (i think) confirmed that pets are not allowed inside. grrr.....

so, we didnt have a choice, Ate Sam just brought em back to the car and asked the driver to bring me home. so basically, i just spent the longest ride of my life! i was still upset and at the same time, i couldn't look out the windows coz no one was carrying me...of course, the driver couldnt do that. i was just at the car floor staring at the car carpet. =(

luckily, when i got home, kuya miko was already there, so we got to play! it helped me make my mood better.Ü

separated

yesterday, i was left all alone in the house (well, not really, i was with Manang karen). manang made me eat the food my Ate prepared but i dont feel like eating...i just spent the whole day staring out the windows and sleeping in the living room couch! i feel so lonely! when they (ate, kuya, mama and papa) arrived...i ran to them as fast as i could and jumped on them! but they scolded me because i was biting them to the point that Ate's hands already felt tingly! they said i had separation anxiety, and that's bad. =(

anyhow, they let me go with them to their office today, and i heard that later, we'll be going to Makati to meet up Ate Chise because her brother who's a flight attendant is presently in town! but ate sam's still not sure if she's gonna bring me later coz she said ive been a bad girl since yesterday so she'll leave me if i wont behave. i guess ill just sleep so i wont be urged to do something nasty! LOL sometimes i cant help it. LOL and also, Ate sam said she still have to make sure if i would be allowed to go inside the hotel where her cousins are stayin right now. ooh..im crossing my fingers on that one! ok, ill take a nap now. wish me luck!
