My First Year!

Mommy and Daddy don't really know when I was born. Bob at the shelter said I was about 2 weeks old when they found me under a house with my doggie mommy and litter. When Mommy and Daddy adopted me Mommy guessed I was born on the 20th of September.

But it doesn't really matter! I have had the best year of any dog!

My Mommy and Daddy took me home from the shelter on the 9th of December, I was really mean to them because I was scared and did not trust humans. It took a while for me to start trusting them....It helped that my Daddy was not working at the time and stayed home with me every day till February.

When I moved in with the humans they had 3 cats. The cats were so much fun to bark at! But I also have scars on my nose to show for all the barking I did.

I also got very attached to my Daddy he could not leave me with my Mommy alone...I would cry till he came back...I don't do that anymore...I know they will come back.

When my humans moved I helped my Daddy move all the stuff and I was a good girl. I liked the new house and so did the cats because they had a room where I could not bother them.

In the spring my Mommy left the window open one day and I chewed the screen out so I could follow her...but it was raining and I got all wet and sick from being outside all day. I learned my lesson about breaking the windows.

In April my humans brought home another dog...Bonnie...she is my bestest friend. We play together, destroy things like the new mattress and Mommy's shoes! My Daddy keeps saying he is going to move Bonnie to the outside but then he feels sorry for her and changes his mind. I hope he doesn't I will miss her!

Anyway, it has been a really good first year. I am glad my the humans found me at the shelter and decided to take me home!
