I guess you have all been wondering what happened to me....

Tomorrow will be my 4th week at the Bridge. I think it's pretty cool but I'm worried about my Mom - she misses me so much & can't stop crying.

It happened pretty quickly - I started walking very slowly which is not like me - I'm pretty frisky & I like to sniff & walk fast. Mom thinks it was Hurricane Sandy which took it's toll on me. I mean... it wasn't pleasant being carried up & down 7 flights of stairs! I panted & carried on but I think it was harder on Mom than me.

I went to the Vet for my 3 month visit & I was okay.

But shortly afterward I stopped eating - I dunno why - I love my chicken.

My vet tried appetite stimulants & then anti-nausea pills.

But then I didn't want to eat my dog food even with chicken. So Mom gave me only Chicken. I didn't want it.... even when Mom tried to feed me by hand. Then she tried bread with cheese. This worked for a while. But then I kept throwing up & this wasn't pleasant.

Then Mom tried hamburger. Then filet mignon. I did not want to eat. I didn't even want to drink water.

I guess even a pretty girl like me is entitled not to eat - especially at 16.

So that's what happened, my furriends. After 3 days of not eating and throwing up & tremors, Mom took me to the Vet & he said it was time.

So as hard as it is for me to write this, it is harder for my Mom.

I thank you all for your support & wishes - I hope I will be back at Dogster soon.

Chloe, I hope all the angels are showing you around at the Bridge. I heard they throw some really good parties there! I wish there was something we could do to help mom. She is so sad! Sending her bunches of hugs and strength that she was able to let you go when the time came. We miss you beautiful girl!

Darling Girl....you were telling Mum it was time...

You had the most wonderful of lives and now you are flying free.

Mum will grieve.. that is how it is.. many here have walked this path and we will look after her.

It was my Cleo's 8th Bridge Day on Sunday... we never forget you.. or you us...

Love never dies.. and gradually that love helps us left behind be able to cope and move forward.

The love never changes... but the strength from that love makes it possible to live on with purpose.

We love you.. and your Mum....

I was a little taken aback when I saw the picture with your halo, had no idea...but you had a great time here with Mom and now you will be watching over her. We are always here for your Mom too

Chloe, how wonderful your mom got 16 years with you, that is a long doggie life. It is sad that it had to end, and sad that our moms grieve so deeply for us. My mom is grieving for me too, and knows that feeling when nothing can be done to help us. Prayers and love to your mom.

Chloe, we are so deeply sorry that you had to leave your Mom, but know that she gave you the greatest gift of love by sending you on your journey to the beautiful Bridge where all of our angels keep watch over us.

There are no words at a time like this, we know that all too well, but we are sending our deepest sympathy and thoughts of comfort to you dear Mom who gave you such a wonderful, long life.

Chloe we miss you sweetie and understand too well how hard this is on your Mom. Time does heal and help even though it does not feel like it at first. You had a wonderful life with a wonderful Mom who loved and loves you and would do anything for you. Now you are free, healthy and young forever, never to be ill again. Prayers for your Mom that her heart heals soon...that pain fades away and only sweet memories of you remain.
