### I'll REALLY miss her!!! ###
My menagerie was down to just my own two dogs. Tucker, a Siberian Husky, was grateful - he doesn't like having other dogs around. But I thought he'd be okay with an older female, so I looked around MaxFund, the shelter where I volunteer. I took Tucker to meet Lucy. (Gremlin's really laid back and doesn't mind other dogs.) No sparks flew, so I brought Lucy home to be our 6th foster dog of last year.

Bio: Lucy's the only dog that my Tucker has shown any interest in the 15 months that he's been with me. When Lucy gets interested in something in the back yard, Tucker follows her around to see what she's turned up. It's pretty cute because otherwise Tucker tries to pretend that there aren't any other dogs in the household.

More about personality!: Lucy's incredibly sweet and friendly! Give her just a little attention, and her tail starts wagging.
She follows you as you move through the house and into the back yard ... but she's not stuck tight so that you trip over her, and she doesn't lean against you and beg for affection when you're doing something else.
Lucy accepts treats politely and will sit or shake paws for them. She readily learns the sounds of opening the food bin and the treat box!
She's a wonderful dog to foster! She hasn't caused any friction with my grumpy Siberian Husky, and that's a real surprise!
Lucy's previous family brought her to the MaxFund shelter saying that she didn't get along with other dogs. As I hope you see in the photos, I've seen no problems in this area.
What breed is Lucy?: My veterinarian suggested that Lucy might be a Flat-Coated Retriever, and now that I've seen some pictures of FCRs, I see his point:
But the white on Lucy's chest would disqualify her, I guess. She was called a Spaniel mix when she arrived at the MaxFund no-kill animal shelter, but FCR seems pretty close to me!
Note that this is not a picture of Lucy/SallyV! But she does love to wade into water just like this!
