Update from my new mommy and daddy:

"We are so pleased with Chewy. He missed his former home the first night and looked for the familiar but is adjusting nicely. Thank you for making it such a nice transition for him and us. I do think he likes being an only dog for the time being--we will see how he does when we are not home during the weekdays. Again, thank you for helping us make the connection. We look forward to Chewy's part in our family for many years."

Yay! They like me, and I like them!!! I've found a forever home!!!

Well, it's official! A lovely man and his wife came and took me away to my forever home. No more expose's at the petstore for me. Just plenty of love and attention. I hope they have it in them to train me cuz I really need some guidance still. But it was part of the contract. So...here's hopin'! Wish a guy some luck in his forever home!!! YAY!!! :)

Good news! I think I'm getting adopted!!! I went on a home visit, and the ladies at RHS checked out these people, and now they're picking me up on Saturday!!! It's a big day. Hopefully, they'll keep an eye on me since I've got a case of wanderlust going. But it's very exciting! A furever home for Chewy...how wonderfur! It's been a big month for adoptions so far, and I was beginning to think they'd just keep passing me by. But no! Somebody lurves me, somebody wants me, think I'm gonna do a happy dance now! :)

Word has it that I'm going on a home visit this week! Wish me luck cuz someone's looking to adopt me. YAY! Of course, I proved that I've got a little wanderlust in me when I escaped from new foster mommy's house and got lost for a coupla hours. Still, someone who has been told about my training issues is still really interested in me forever. And how could they not be when I'm such a handsome fella now that I've recovered my weight, grown some hair and done a little socializing work. To quote Franklin the chihuahua, I'm officially a "muffin butt stud!" BOL!

Well, old mommy saw me at the adoption event on December 29 and all she could say was "wow!" I look great! No longer skin and bones, and growing back some hair. Still a little timid around all those people and other dogs, but she said I looked good!

Well, it's official! I'm adoptable now, guys. Check me out at www.richardsonhumanesociety.org for guidelines. Turns out that not only am I good with other dogs, but I've done fairly well with new foster mom's daughter, too. And I've gained my necessary weight, so I'm up for adoption now. It's official!!! YAY! No more lowly life on the streets trying to make a career out of being an Animal look-alike. I'm graduating from stray to pet. :)

So ex-foster mom got an update on me. In my new house, I'm just as crazy and rambunctious, but my new pal Barkley put me in my place with this humping business. He was like...I'm bigger than you and older than you, so get a life, little dude. So, uh yeah. On the upside, he's teaching me to use the potty outside. I mean...I could care less, but these humans seem to think there's a time and a place for pottying. Oh, and there's an adorable shih tzu next door. New foster mom says that I can play with her once I'm completely over my kennel cough and I've gained some more weight. Indeed, still gaining. Gotta reach 12 lbs, and not there yet. So, not ready for adoption yet. Hopefully soon though!

Well, my foster mommy had to give me to another foster mommy. Perhaps it's better because now I've got bigger fursiblings and a human sister to play with and keep me in line. I've also got a yard which makes potty training easier for me. I just can't hold it that long. My old foster mommy was really upset because she felt like a failure, but I wasn't getting along with Lucy very well. I think I was just a little bit too rambunctious. Also, her apartment situation wasn't agreeable to me being there. In other words, co-signor grandmom was NOT liking my presence on the premises. So, I'm off to another foster mommy's house. I'll keep my page up though until I'm adopted though I may not post in the forums or keep a diary anymore. Wish me luck! I'm horribly cute, so I have confidence in adoption as soon as I reach weight and grow some hair.

Well poop! I've come down with kennel cough. Blech! As if all the snorting and honking I do as a shih tzu isn't enough already, the constant coughing, sneezing and retching is enough to make mom crazy. With my physical state of emaciation she's really worried. But I'm on antibiotics and cough suppressants, so hopefully this will pass. And hopefully my foster dog family won't catch it. They'd be really unhappy with me then. I wasn't even allowed to go to the petstore. *bawls* Because I'm contagious. *whimper whimper*

Oh my Dog! I've been robbed! Shamed! Broken! I've lost my manhood and didn't even know it. And now Mom has decided to be blunt and teach me to ignore my desires. She got a squirt bottle and keeps squirting me whenever I hump the girlies or even mom. I can't help it that I'm just a dog. I mean, I have desires just the rest of the world. And now it's all gone! I've been robbed of my manhood FOR SHAME! *sobs* And she *hiccup* has to throw the fact *hiccup* or squirt it in my *hiccup* face?

On the bright side *sniffle sniffle*, I've gained 2 lbs.
