big boy!

today mommy updated my weight. the last time i went to the vet i weighed about 9 pounds and when she weighed me today i was 16 lbs!! she called me her big boy and said i'm buff. didn't know what that meant but i will assume it's good.

ps. i turn 7 months in 2 days!!

ding dong..

so i am about 6 months old now and i have been doing exceptionally well at potty training.. if i do say so myself. however, at times i get confused on how to let mommy or daddy know it's that time again and i make little mistakes. since i am such a small dog it's usually not too bad for mommy or daddy to clean up (especially since i am generally smart enough to do it on title which i heard was better than the carpet) but it still makes and my parents a little upset. so.. i heard them talking about wanting to put a bell on the front door that is low enough for me to paw at when i need to go, but i have never used a bell before. do any of you puppies out there use a bell to let your parents know when it's time for business? i think it might work out well since i am so smart.. but i just don't know if my mommy and daddy can figure it out! woof woooof!! =]

today's pick!

yay! mommy says that my puppy memoirs made today's pick on dogster!! i don't really know what that means but she gave me an extra special rub behind the ear and a treat. :) we found out at mommy and daddy's work today and she made a special announcement just for me! some people thought it was crazy that i am able to type with paws.. while others (amber grace hodkey's owner) bragged that she got a video pick once.

geez.. my big day and all i get is this? i think i'm going to curl up on the pillow under mommy's desk and take a nap now. my grandma and great grandma are on their way up in a little bit.. i bet they will be excited over my puppy achievement!!!

i love petsmart!

today before we went to mommy and daddy's work i got to make a stop at my most favoritest place in the world.. petsmart!! i like going there because i get to see other doggies, investigate stuff and pick out my own toys, treats and outfits! today we went in to buy some new doggie do-do bags, and as usual mommy and daddy let me get some new toys! i love those big long stuffed squeaker doggies from there. my very first toy ever was a long yellow doggie we named cecil! (cecil is in some of my photos!!) i tore cecil open a while ago so i got a halloween one (we call him mr. bones) and today i got a GIANT blue one! i love him so much.. he's bigger than i am!

also, there are a lot of halloween costumes there. i'm not sure what that means, but my mommy says halloween is a time when humans dress up and get treats. sounds like fun to me! mommy says that her and daddy are going to a costume party and that i need to dress up with them. they found a little piggy costume and said it was perfect for me since i snort and snargle all the time. i didn't get it. i think they were making fun of me, but i'm not sure. i think i sound cool.

are any of you puppies going to halloween parties? if so what are you wearing! i want to be a dino!!

re: last night

just so you all don't worry about little ol' me.. i am all better today! mommy hand fed me a lot of food so i'd get a full belly. she likes to trick me into eating by making a game of chase out of it. i know she is tricking me, but i don't mind.. it's a lot of fun!

i love water

hey puppy buddies.. just wanted to ask you all a question because my mommy and daddy think i'm silly! you see, i have this problem where i like to drink the biggest drink of water that i possibly can, then i get really excited, run around and then trow up all the water i just drank. do any of you have that problem? if so, do you guys know how to fix it? my mommy wants to leave me less water, but she is afraid if she leaves too little i might get dehydrated.

last night

last night was a pretty rough night for me. at about 3:30am i woke up feeling sick. it came on so fast and i didn't know what to do.. and i threw up on my mommy who was asleep at the time. she jumped out of bed and washed her arm while daddy put me on the floor and changed the sheets. they took me out into the kitchen to see if i needed food or water and i got sick again.. and then again. thinking i had nothing left in my belly, they took me to bed again and pet me to sleep. after still feeling sick, and not knowing what to do i just started pacing around the bed and i started to cry. daddy took me outside and it was cold, dark and wet. i had what they kept referring to as "blow outs" and i got to go back to sleep for a little bit. but then.. i woke up sick again! i started coughing and mommy picked me right up and put me on the floor again. i again got sick on the floor and after cleaning my mess up yet again, it was mommy's turn to take me outside. i had more "blow outs" and then i got to get back in bed again. after all of that i started feeling a little better. i haven't gotten sick now since 7:30am and mommy and daddy are keeping a close eye on me. they said if i didn't get better they were going to take me to the vet!! for those puppies that don't know what the vet is, it's that place where they stick you with sharp things and then give you a treat. i don't think i like that place too much so i am going to try real hard to get better. i am at my mommy and daddy's work right now and they have me all snuggled up in my favorite bed with my favorite jacket on. i think i'm going to try and sleep this off so that i don't have to go see dr. jacob!

if any of you ever get sick what do you do to get better? mommy and daddy say i got this way because i like to eat everything i come a cross and that i need to stop that.. but i can't help it! i'm just a curious little guy!
