Well, mom thinks I must be feeling better these days ...

My cushings disease has had me pretty wiped out for the past few months. So wiped, that I haven't even tried to pull my wonderfully enthralling escapes from the restrictions of homelife, in a long time. Well, the medicine must be doin' the trick, because I pulled a fast one on Mom!! The other night, she opened a door just a bit too slowly, and I was a flash of black against the new snow! What a thrill! Cool air in my nostrils (oh, let me correct that - COLD air in my nostrils ... it was 15 degrees out!) fresh powder under my pads, nobody tellin' me where to lay or what NOT to do!!! I was free. Mom has learned that she can't catch me, I's too fast for anyone. I like to do "fly-by's" which is where when someone is outside trying to persuade me to come in, I play like I'm listening and coming closer, then at just the right time I FLY BY them and run like the wind! It is great fun - you should try it sometime :o)

Well, mom was mad. (It was 10:30pm ... after mom had worked all day and got home from her SECOND job at 10:15) I played outside for about an hour, then she started getting angry cuz I was barkin' at the moon (hey, a gal's gotta howl sometime!!!) And my paws were getting cold anyway, so I decided to come in and let HER chill out! :o)

(Mom's glad I'm feeling well enough to run for an hour, but she wishes I'd chose an earlier time of day!)
