A Day in the Life of Harley
A Fun GameOctober 24th 2007 3:35 am[ Leave A Comment ]
So, I have this really fun game I play with my mommy. You see, every night before she goes to bed, she straightens up the throw pillows on the couches. And then the next day I go around and flatten them all! Hahaha! Isn't that funny? All I have to do is get up on the back of the couch, and then I slide down feet first onto the top of the pillow, and bam! It's flat! And then I curl up on it and take a nap. I do this to all of them, every day, hehe. I say, why sleep on just the couch, when you can sleep on a pillow on the couch.
The Trouble With BarkingOctober 21st 2007 12:49 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
I wanted to discuss with my pup pals something that's been bothering me for quite some time. Maybe some of you are going through the same thing. There is something that I just don't understand. You see, my mom wants me to be a strong, confident guy, yet when I try to speak my mind, she just gets upset. Like for instance, sometimes she leaves the house without taking me with her. This hurts my feelings, and I tell her so, but she always tells me that I need to stop barking. I'm just trying to tell her how I feel. Here are some other situations that I would like to clear up incase mom is reading this:
When Harley Came HomeOctober 14th 2007 2:10 pm[ Leave A Comment ] When Harley arrived at his new home, he met his new feline sister, Abbey. I was worried about how she would react to him, especially because he was such a tiny boy. He took to her right away and wanted to play, but she wasn't much for playing. She was more of a lounger, and though he tried hard, she just wasn't having it. A year later, I brought home a ten day old kitten that had been abandoned and needed to be bottle fed. As inergetic as Harley was, he was very gentle with this new baby. I had planned to find a home for it after I got it on regular food, but by then he had become a part of our family. I named him Freddy, and he became Harley's best friend. They loved to play together. They would play chase and hide behind things and jump out at each other. It was really funny to watch. I think Freddy grew up thinking he was a dog like his brother, Harley. All three of them slept with me, Freddy in my arms, Harley under the covers up against me, and Abbey at my feet. We were a happy little family. Four years later, I got married, and my husband is allergic to cats. Sadly, Abbey and Freddy had to leave us, but a friend of mine took both of them to live with her and her family. It was quite an adjustment, but here we are 4 years later, and we're doing great. And Harley, at nine years old, still acts as young as a pup.
