Dad took Puppy in yesterday (Wednesday 7/22/09) to the vet. We had to have him put to sleep. He has been suffering for some time with a tick disease. It wasn't lyme disease, but he had lost all of his muscle mass. He quit eating and just in the last week he had lost 5 lbs. You could his rib cage and back bone. He was fading away.

Dad and Mom cried all week because we knew it was coming. We were basically keeping him alive for our own selves. We decided he was uncomfortable and getting too weak. It was time.

We will have wonderful memories of Puppy. He was a sweet boy. He was loving, and cuddly. Now he will be up in heaven with Little Girl. I know that God created beautiful little animals and has a special place for them. I can see them all together now and he is no longer in pain.
