Everything!

Favorite Walk:
Her favorite walk is anywhere with "Chowder," "Misty," "Talcum," and me.

Best Tricks:
She jumps like a cat onto my lap and she can catch her toy with her two front paws.

Arrival Story:
I adopted "Flurry" on Friday, September 28, 2007, from an online "rescue" group called WWW.ESKIESONLINE.COM. "Flurry" lost her right eye in the summer of 2007 while she was running around as a stray in New York City. We don't know how she was injured. When she was found as a stray, her eye had been recently wounded. So she was in pain, the poor girl. She was rescued by some New York shelter workers who arranged for her to have surgery to remove her injured eye. From that shelter "Flurry" was placed in a new home but somehow she wound up as a stray -- again -- in southeastern New York state. Microchip readings confirmed that "Flurry" was the same dog who'd been rescued in New York City and it is remarkable that she was rescued twice. On her second adventure "Flurry" was found wandering on a highway near a southeastern New York monastery by a priest. The priest knew that he couldn't care for her, so he took her to a nearby retirement home run by nuns who had recently lost their dog. The nuns were happy to care for her but the retirement home was not the ideal situation for her because she needed a little extra care to make up for her diminished eyesight. She was eventually placed with the rescue workers of WWW.ESKIESONLINE.COM when it became clear that she needed to be placed in a more low-key home without children and chaos. I saw her story online and knew that SHE is the one I wanted, and the rest is history. You can see her adoption advertisement here (remove all spaces in URL): HTTP://WWW.ESKIESONLINE.COM/PRINCE SSNY.HTM.

Bio:
"Flurry" settled into our home immediately and she's been a wonderfully sweet, gentle, playful, and affectionate dog. At only three years of age she's the youngest member of our Dog Pack so it's been a lot of fun to see her run "Misty" (my very energetic Pomeranian) ragged by playing and tearing up the house with her. We had a scare in the Fall of 2007 when I noticed that "Flurry" had experienced a couple of seizures but she's not had any incidents since early December so we're hopeful that "Flurry" will enjoy a long future without any more problems. She's been a wonderful addition to the family, and we feel extremely lucky to have found her.
