Weird....

So mommy came to get me at Aunt Karen's last night..and then we went to my FAVORITE place, Yarn Love. I got the feeling something was up..so I was extra good and cuddly with all my favorite people there. They kept saying goodbye and hugging mommy and me lots. Then we got home..and there are boxes EVERYWHERE! Plus the kitties aren't here...they are still at Aunt Karen's (and naughty Zella got herself wedged behind the washing machine there..she was there like ALLLL day til Mommy and Karen came. Anyway....its just me and mommy in this house full of boxes. But we slept on the couch last night and that was fun. Mommy let me stay with her today...I feel like its going to be a weird day.....

Something strange (Something BAAAAAD)

Something strange is going on at my house right now. Mommy's been talking about a new house for a while now..I guess we're getting close...she's been doing lots of cleaning. And now this morning she dropped me and the kitties off at Aunt Karen's house. I'm NOT happy about it either. Why is it the kitties get to explore Aunt Karen's and I'm locked up in my crate? I let mommy know in no uncertain terms I was not a happy camper..but she just said she'd see me later today and to be a good girl.

What the heck? Why can't I be at home with mommy right now? No fair!

My great adventure!

Mama took me on an adventure this month! She keeps talking about us "moving" I don't really know what that means, but I know I spent LOTS of time with Mama lately. First we got in the car and drove to Nana's house. Then Nana came home from work...and would you believe Mama made me get BACK in the car..we'd been in the car like 12 hours already! We drove a couple of hours to this place Mama called a hotel. Boy did I have fun! I spent all night jumping back and forth between the beds and barking at all the noisy people outside. Mama and Nana didn't seem to like the hotel, but I loved it! I even found stuff on the floor to play with...that seemed to upset Mama and Nana GREATLY. The next day Mama and Nana left me at the hotel all day (they did come back to let me go potty once). When they came back we sat down in the lobby with this lady I don't know and Mama started filling out lots of paperwork. Then...BACK IN THE CAR! Mama's phone rang about 30 minutes after we got in the car and she got REALLY excited. Then she told me we have a new house. I don't really understand whats happening to the old house? Anyway..we went back to Nana's house and it was great because Mama was with me ALL day for most of that week. Then it was less great because some friends of Mama's came to Nana's to visit and they went out a LOT. I was a crazy little stinker at night to get even for being left alone so long. One day, Mama and Nana took me to this park..and boy did I have fun! I really wanted to run around and play with all the little kids, and even another dog I saw. But Mama wouldn't let me. But lots of people did come over to pet me so that was GREAT! After a while it got really dark out and all the sudden I heard this LOUD bang. Boy was I scared! I snuggled up in Mama's arms and I saw all these crazy lights in the sky. I was scared though...so I snuggled up with mama with my head on her shoulder facing away from the weird lights and just waited for all the noise to stop. After that...mama put me BACK in the car another 12 hours and we went back to the old house. So I'm very confused still about what this new house is. But Mama says in another month or so I'll see. I hope the kitties get to come with! I really missed them LOTS when we were at Nana's. Kitties aren't allowed to go to Nana's cuz she's allergic. I love spending alone time with Mama, but I really miss my kitties when I don't get to play with them every day.

One big happy family!

So ever since mommy added me to the family, the kitties, Joey and Zella, haven't quite known what to make of me. The first few months they always sat someplace I couldn't get to them. After a while I figured out how to climb, much to mommy's dismay, so the cats gave up their high hiding places to stick closer to the ground. But they still ignore me MOST of the time. And never let me play with them.

Lately its gotten a bit better....now sometimes when mommy and I are playing fetch the kitties will get involved..mommy will throw something and then the kitties will bat it around for a minute, then I sneak in and grab it to bring it back to mommy. Its lots of good fun.

But this week was different. Joey, big, standoffish, always hissing at me, 17lb giant - well..I think he finally likes me! He's started to nuzzle me when I'm standing around. He walks right up to me and starts rubbing into me. He's so big he knocks me over sometimes..and when I move he follows me and nuzzles me some more! Do you think this mean he finally loves me?

I figured out how to make mommy REALLY happy!

So mommy has been really sick the past few weeks with a cold. I feel bad she's not feeling good, but happy, because she's been home a lot! I figured since she wasn't feeling so good I'd try to do whatever I could to make her feel better. Since I'm so little..there's not a lot. But I thought of one thing! I'd been a little stinker about going potty lately. Not letting mommy know when I want to go out. Or asking to go out and then not going. Or not letting mommy catch me when I need to go out and peeing on the floor right in front of her. I decided it was time to grow up and put that silliness behind me. I still SOMETIMES don't go when mommy takes me out. But I'm really trying not to go in the house. The only two times I've gone pee in the house this past week, were when mommy didn't pay attention when I was ringing my bell. And I'm too tiny to hold it for very long when she's ignoring me.

Plus I found out, not only does this make mommy happy! But if I stop pottying in the house, then when mommy goes on her 2 week vacation later this year, I get to go to Nana's best friends house instead of the kennel! Yay!!!!!!! I hope the other doggie is still there then, mommy says that Aria is supposed to be moving out of her Nana's house to her mommy's house. But Arias mommy is supposed to have a baby right before I come visit...some mommy thinks Aria might still be at her Nana's and that means LOTS of playtime! Aria's nana says that Aria is going to teach me how to whine. But mommy says the whining isn't anything compared to when I bark at the kitties or noises outside.

I'm a winner!

Mommy took me last weekend to this thing called "pawsabilities" at the farm show place. And there were dogs and other fun stuff EVERYWHERE!!! Mommy and I walked around and shopped at some of the booths for a while. It took a long time because everyone wanted to meet me everywhere we went! Then mommy entered me in the pet parade. And I won a blue ribbon for being the smallest dog there! I was so excited! But it was a long day and I was happy to go home afterward. I didn't even mind that mommy went out that night...I just slept the whole time she was gone. And even when she got home, normally I'd be crazy puppy...but I was still pooped so we went right to bed!

My first trip to the salon!!!!

So mommy has been torturing me lately trying to brush me. My hair has been getting really tangly because I run around like a crazy fool all day and don't let mommy get very close to me with the brush. She's been more forceful lately, but it hurts when she brushes me. She says if I let her brush me more it wouldn't be so bad..but I just don't like being brushed!

So today mommy got up early and took me back to the vet...I was confused at first because she said I didn't have to see the dr for a while. But I met a super nice lady there who gave me a bath and then she gave me a haircut! It feels a little weird with all my long hair gone, but mommy seems to really like it. She promised that if I let her brush me every day I'll learn to like brushing...something about it being petted but no tangles to pull my hair with the brush. I sure hope so.

Mommy wants to post pics, but I've been running around the house too fast testing out my new haircut...once I get tired maybe mommy will snap some pics and get them posted so you can see. She says I look more poodle than yorkie now...I don't know what that means...but as long as mommy loves me what does it matter what I look like right?

Starting to feel much better!

Friday night sucked. Saturday was okay except when I had to go poopoo...then I yelped a lot. By Sunday I was trying to run up the stairs and jump on and off the couch...which mommy is NONE too happy about. She keeps telling people I'm fixed now...but I didn't know I was broken.......

OOOWWWWWEEEEEEE!

Mommy took me to the vet again today. At first I was all excited because when we got there lots of dogs were hanging out outside and I figured I was going to get to play. Boy was I wrong. Mommy left me at the vet and a short while later they gave me some medicine and I got REALLY sleepy. When I woke up I had a big booboo down on my lower tummy and BOY does it hurt. I tried to sleep some more while I waited for mommy but it just hurt too bad. Finally mommy came to pick me up. The lady in the funny outfit picked me up and I screamed so loud mommy said she could hear me up front. I was really happy to see my mommy, but I didn't show her like I usually do with kisses because I was just in too much pain. Mommy cradled me in her arms the entire way home and then put me down outside in my pen. I was so happy to finally get to go potty. But then mommy picked me up and I hurt all over again. She put me down inside and put some food out. But I didn't want any. So she put some nutrical on her finger and I finally took that. She tried to give me some water too but I didn't want it either. I really wanted on the couch, but for some reason I knew I couldn't jump up there and mommy won't pick me up and put me on the couch. So I climbed into my little pink bed on the floor. For a long time I just sat in the bed looking at mommy and shaking. Finally mommy put a blanket on top of me and I laid down. I sure hope this yucky pain goes away soon. Ooh..and mommy did squirt some weird stuff in my mouth...maybe its starting to feel a little bit better. Even my kitties can tell I don't feel good though. Joey doesn't even like me and he came up and gave me a big kiss. And Zella keeps laying down right next to me to keep me company.

I think I'm really liking this va ation to Nana's house!

Last weekend mommy and I left PA to drive to Nana's house in Illinois. I wasn't really happy about it because even though mommy got me a new car seat the only place I really like to sit in the car is mommy's lap and she won't let me do that. The drive started really early and took us ALLL day....I kept getting excited because mommy would stop the car and we would get out and walk...but then she kept making me get back IN the car. Not fun!

We finally made it to Nana's and I started getting spoiled by Nana right away. I mean...you should SEE all the presents under Nana's tree for me! I'm so excited for Christmas Eve when we open presents!

And then the best thing yet, since Mommy is on vacation...I got to spend ALL day all week with mommy!!!! She was still doing stuff for school...but she does that at home on the computer...so she just sits on the couch with her laptop and I sit on her chest while she works! Its the best! I wonder how long it will be before she goes back to leaving me all day????

On Friday I went to go meet Nana 2 - thats my Nana's best friend. Nana 2 has a BIG dog named Aria. I was so excited! Not only did I chase Aria around all night, but Nana 2 has a house WAY bigger than Nana's house so there was lots of room for running around and playing fetch. I was so tired when we left, that I feel asleep in the car. Mommy couldn't believe it.

Then on Saturday my mommy went out without me leaving me at home with Nana. I wasn't so sure about this....I've never been left with anyone else. But Nana and I had a great time. I found a new favorite place to lay upstairs on top of a blanket on Nana's couch. And Nana had some friends over who wanted to play with me all night and take me home with them!

Oh...did I mention that I learned how to go DOWN the stairs finally??? Now I race up and down! Thats making mommy very happy because I dont sit at the top and cry anymore when I want to come back down.

Mommy says I'm invited to go over to grandpa's house on Christmas morning. She didn't think I'd be allowed but said that grandpa and grandma asked as soon as they saw her yesterday if I was coming. grandma is worried that my christmas present is going to be too big for me, but she told mommy that we'd just go do more shopping if it doesn't fit. I can't wait!

Well...thats all for now...I don't know how long this vacation is going to last but I sure am loving it!
