I am thinking of you today precious baby, wishing I could kiss your nose, wishing I could hug you close just one more time. Has it really been only 3 weeks since you left us? It feels like a million tears ago. How I loved rubbing your silky ears, watching your eyes lighting up with a smile. Your sweet nose poking through the gate while I baked your favorite peanut butter, pumpkin cookies, then watching you pace when they came out of the oven, impatient for them to cool off. You were always so gentle when you took them from me, sometimes you took in my whole hand but never did your teeth touch my skin.

You were always a lady sweet Neddy, a perfect southern lady with impeccable manners. I can still see you playing outside, and when no one was available to play, tossing your toys in the air and chasing them, fast as the wind. You were always so contented, so easily pleased. So much so you made my heart squeeze and made me want to give you even more. Such a precious baby Neddy, I am glad you are free from the pains of old age but what I would not give to hug you just one more time.
