Arrival Story:
I was doing research on adopting a Dachshund and I found Eli, formerly Tucker, on Petfinder.com. His picture caught my eye because his markings are so similar to my Dolly. I had no intention of adopting right away, but I submitted my adoption application anyway. Hart Rescue contacted me the next day, giving me his foster family's contact information. I called his foster mom that afternoon, met him a few hours later, and brought him home that night! I knew I loved him the moment I met him.

Bio:
The rescue told me he was about a year old, but after having him examined by my veterinarian, she thinks he's about three. I've never seen a Dachshund of his coloring before. Hart Rescue saved Eli from an Amish Puppy Mill in Florida, were he spent his whole life in a kennel as a stud dog. He had to learn what grass was, which he's still a little uncomfortable with (has to poop on the sidewalk). Even through all of that, he's an amazingly social pup. He loves his new sisters, Dolly and Leyna, and wrestles with the cats, Oliver and Blossom. He loves going to Puppy Camp (doggie daycare) as well and plays with all the little dogs!

My sisters told me that I needed to start my diary. Welp, here it is! BOL!! Life has been a little crazy for me the past couple of months. I was saved from a kennel in August, taken to my foster home, then Mom gave me my forever home all in the matter of two weeks! And let me tell you, I am one spoiled Weenie... but don't tell Mom that, 'cause I kinda like it. Heehee!

I just love my sisters and kitty siblings. Life is great. I get to go to Puppy Camp every day and run and play and chase tennis balls. Then I come home, eat a great dinner, then curl up on the couch for a well deserved nap. Who could ask for more?

Mom's working on setting up more pictures of my handsome face, so everywoof, be on the lookout!
