Hi pals,

We made it to New Mexico and boy what a trip it was! Puffy and I got to ride in the front seat of the huge U-haul truck that daddy was driving. Of course Puffy had to act like a baby and cry when he discovered that momma wasn’t there because she was driving daddy’s truck and pulling the hauling trailer. When daddy stopped for gas he went to momma and asked her to go talk to Puffy because he wouldn’t settle down – BOL, BOL. Puffy wanted to ride with momma but there wasn’t room for another crate so we had to stay with daddy. The good news is that after a while he finally stopped crying and began to enjoy looking out the window at all of the cars and trucks that we passed by.

When we left California it was about 100 degrees and we were on the road for almost 12 hours. It was 36 degrees when we pulled up to our house in New Mexico at 10 PM. We were all cold and tired but momma insisted that the kitties had to be put in one of the finished rooms of the house because she didn’t want them in the garage/workshop because it is packed with furniture and boxes and we would never find them so we all went to look at what progress the workers had done while we were in California. Before we left, daddy had a phone conversation with the man who is doing the wall boarding and he told daddy that he had more than half the house finished. I’m really not sure what house the worker was talking about because it certainly wasn’t OUR house. We walked through all of the house and there was wall boarding scraps all over the floor, trash and not one room was completed. In addition, they didn’t do what wall boarding that they did have up correctly and some of it is going to have to be done over.

So here it was late at night and daddy and momma are sweeping out the laundry room because it was the one room that was mostly finished. After they cleaned it up daddy had to install a door so that the kitties could be contained. Momma put down food for them and also brought in Arleenton, our bunny sister, and turned her loose too, then we went to the garage and went to bed on the Queen bed that is in there.

During the night I started shivering because I got cold: momma woke up and put me under the covers so I could get warm, which I did and went right back to sleep. We all slept well, except for the kitties who do not like their new environment, but they will get used to it.

Come morning we went back into the house and looked around and boy is there still lots of work that needs to be done. Daddy was really mad and momma kept on telling him to calm down. Anyhow, today daddy and momma are going to be working on the kitchen dry wall to fix what needs fixing and to try to get the kitchen ready for texturing and painting. They went to the local home improvement store yesterday and bought the paint for the kitchen (a pale coral color) and for the rest of the house it’s pale yellow/white.

I want to thank everyone for the beautiful balloons on Puffy’s. Logan’s and my page. Momma had over 200 email notifications from Dogster informing her that we had received a special gift – BOL, BOL. I love you all!

I'd be thrilled at the weather change, but I'm not so sure you and your humans are going to like the cold. We huskies do love cold!!! I'm sorry that the workmen didn't get the house done as they should, but the work will get done eventually. I'm glad everyone got there safe and sound.

Glad ya'll made it to your new home safe and sound. WOW! Thats a big change in temps isn't it. But you can always get warm by putting on more clothes, can't get cool enough taking them off---they kinda frown on that in public. BOL Can't wait to hear more adventures in your new home. :)

We're so glad to hear that you all got to the same place at the same time, all safe and sound. Now the workers will have to do what they're told!
