Arrival Story:
We are not the first owners of Nala and her sister Smokey. For the first 6 or 7 years of there life they with a friend of mine(Ann) and her two kids. She had move from her to an apartment that didn't accept dogs. She had tried with other people to see if the dogs would stay. The dogs didn't seem to like being with too many people as they would bark at the door all day long. Which I totally know they do now! A half an hour before I came home from work to go to my parents house, the dogs were there and they barked the whole time... Until I came home said their names and they ran to me. I didn't know all the history yet of the tried attempts to find other owners for the dogs and just having come home from work was kinda bombarded with "Will you take the dogs?" At first I didn't have an answer and with that Ann thought it was a "No". It wasn't I just didn't have time to think about it. She took them to find someone else. Later my future mother - in - law called to say that Ann might have to take the dogs to the SPCA. Knowing that and how hard it was to find the someone they took a liking to, I called Ann and said "Bring them back!" Smokey and her sister have been with us ever since and we love them dearly.

Bio:
Nala just had a tooth removed after cracking a tooth. It's barely phased her she is just as Eeyore like as ever.2007 She had surgery for cancer found in her uterus. Still as stoaic like when sick and is now intergrating with her new half sis Sweetie the cat. They are both the same age it is like the Golden Girls. 2011
