Is it just my Mom or do other Moms always poke and prod their Pups?
Here's the scene: Mom is innocently enough petting me. I am enjoying myself. Then she finds Something. A Zit. A twisted bit of hair. Dog knows what. Then she starts to poke at me. Sometimes she even Squeezes!, yes Squeezes whatever little bit she has found.
I have even caught her doing this to the Lads! Poor Middle Lad has a Wart on his Tummy. If he has his shirt off, he steers clear of Mom cuz she is sure to insist on having a squeeze at that old wart!
I do NOT like to be Poked, Prodded, or Squeezed! I don't care if sometimes I do have a "Zit" and Mom pops it, and then wipes it up with a Baby Wipe.
No Pennie Popping!

Oh, don't choo tell me Pennie...you don't know the halves of it!!!!
I got one of them pawranoid Moms that don't have the bennyfits of wee lads and lassies to obsess ovfur, so evfuryy smothering cuddle and snuggle rooooteenerly devolves into a full-on Ernie rubdown for tell tale lumps and bumps of phantom toooomers and cansirs, woodyticks, etc.
My ears and eyes are examined for crud, gunk or signs of buggies...
This happens daily, sometimes twice.
My mom is GUILTY of this behaviour also :o(
My ma too.
Pop will say "pet Candy" or Goliath or me and she does for about 2 seconds and then
there she goes, picking and checking every little thing. It kinda takes all the enjoyment out of the petting.
kirby & tribe
My mom does this also... which is why I always sit with dad on the couch - he just ignores me... warts and all! ;o)
BOL, ELLA!!! Whenevfur I spontaneously go ovfur and lay down by dad on the couch or in bed, Mom gets all pouty, and Dad says, "It's cause I don't constantly maul him and pick at him! He just wants to be left alone!"
Mom always checks me for burrs and Dad's always messing with my gunky ears...It's terrible to be loved!
