Today, I went in for my weekend volunteering. I saw a sweet, old little girl laying in her kennel and took her outside for some TLC. While petting her, I noticed she was severly matted and very dirty/flea ridden. I immediately drove home, called the shelter to ask if I could help her out, and came back with my clippers and shampoo.

Mom's in the mood to talk about me (Not a bad topic ;) ) so I'll hand the keyboard to her...
My sweet Sammy it has been 2 wonderful, and somewhat bumpy, years since you came to me and I God could not have matched me with a more perfect man. You do the dishes even when I don't want you to, you clear the table, and you put a smile on my face everyday. When I first got you I was afraid I would have to rehome you- you were such a crazy spaz! But you matured and turned out to be the most loving goofball in the world :) I would not have you any other way, and I love you. I'm so glad I can say we have many more wonderful years to come.
Today mom and I were practicing recall in the front yard when the leash broke and I took off running. I made it THREE blocks away and mommy was running and screaming. I thought we were playing chase! Finally She knelt down and I came running so fast I knocked her over with kissies. She just grabbed my collar and started walking back home, I thought that was a fun game? All of the neighbors came out of their houses, I guess they wanted to play too!
Momma told me I embarrassed her and if I did it again Santa Paws wouldn't bring me any toys :( But come on, she doesn't even KNOW Santa Paws! As long as she doesn't tell him about this, I think it'll be a fun, treat-filled Christmas :)
