Arrival Story:
Rocky was our cousin who is now our brother. Rocky lived in the neighborhood of a lake house that Grandmaw and Grandpaw owned. His owners left him outside all the time and didn't take very good care of him. Many years ago, one cold winter's day, he came up to Grandpaw and his paws were almost frozen. Grandpaw got him in the car and brought him to their house. The neighbors never looked for him, and he found a new home where he got lots of love and indoor living!
Bio:
Rocky likes cats because he lived with several at Grandmaw's house. Because of his mild arthritis, he stays in the lower level of the house with Sugar. This makes for a calmer house, and he doesn't have to climb stairs. Rocky is almost completely deaf, so you have to speak loudly!
Rocky made his journey to the bridge on July 13, 2009, at the age of 14. He had gotten sick five days previous, and was diagnosed with cancer in his lungs, abdomen, and liver. He will live forever in our hearts, and will be missed by his Mawmee, Daddy, and especially his kitty sister, Sugar. Rest in peace, Rocky boy!
