Long time no see....

Hello dogsters! I'm three years old now, living in Porterville. It's a nice life I guess, but I could go for a few more walks. I mostly spend the day lounging around with my grandma or trying to get as much food out of her as I can. I can say that I am eating very well here. I've never had so much people food before, and my mama isn't home to keep me from gettin' it either.

Speaking of mama, she's making me wear shirts everyday because it's cold out; it does keep me warmer but I still hate wearing them! Although I do like wearing jackets because everytime I wear one, I get to go outside. I even got a new collar. At first it was a little tight, but as soon as mama found out about it, she loosened it right up! It's purple with polka dots, and my daddy doesn't like it because he thinks it's girly.

The one bad thing about living in Porterville is that I don't see much of my daddy anymore. I see him maybe once or twice a month, but not very much. I miss him a lot. I miss my mama a lot too. She leaves every morning at 8am; comes home for an hour at noon, and I don't see her again until it's dark out. She says that she's going to work now, so it has to be different. I have to say though, I have grown more fond of her lately, now that I don't see my daddy very much. We comfort each other in his absence. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't see mama everyday. It would be pretty hard.

That's my new life in Porterville all summed up. Hopefully it won't be so long until the next time I update all y'all dogsters out there about my comings and goings! Adios!

Today's My 2nd Birthday!

I'm 2 years old today. I'm definitely not as hyper as I used to be, but don't let that fool you! I'm still full of spunk! Mama gave me a nice little treat for my birthday. It was yummy! I think I'm going to spend my day just lounging around and relaxing. I love a good nap!

Back from Vacation!

Mama, and I went on vacation to see where she lived when she was little. I got to meet all the cool family! I made really good friends with TJ, mama's cousin, and Pookie! Pookie was so much fun to play with, and TJ was fun to bite, wrestle, and chase! At first I didn't like Pookie, but I eventually warmed up to him. He kept trying to eat my food though, that piggy! I had to protect my food from him. I think he was a Boston Terrier. Then I met my mama's mom and she didn't like me too much, even though I wanted to play with her. I eventually learned to give her space, and she learned that I wasn't so bad after all. Maybe we can make a dog person out of her yet! I had a lot of fun on my vacation, but I'm glad that I'm back! The car ride home was really bad though... I got carsick... Mama didn't even realize either because my throw up went underneath my bed, and didn't get on top of the bed at all, so she couldn't see it, until after she picked up the bed. She cleaned it all up, but I have to sleep on my green blankie instead of my bed til she cleans it. But yeah, I'm glad to be home! woof!

My first month...

I can't believe I've only been here a month. My mama and dad are so awesome, even though my mom really gets on my nerves sometimes because she gives me baths and combs me. I really like playin' rough with dad! It's the highlight of my day. It feels like I've been here forever... At first, I never wanted my mama and dad to leave my side, but I'm getting a little better at giving them their space... I just watch them closely, and if it looks like they're leaving a room for good then I'll follow. I still really hate it when they leave though! One time my mama left and went to the grocery store, and I hurt my nose because I wanted to get out of my crate so bad. The other time I pooped in the room where I get baths... That's the only times I've ever been without them since I've come here.
I really love being outside, but mama only takes me out to go potty and walk... Sometimes dad takes me with him on little hikes and I really love that, but I don't think mama does because she always calls me stinky afterwards! She still lets me go because she knows that I need to get dirty because it makes me happy! She's so super nice!
I love my new home with my new mama and dad, even though I don't have other dogs and cats to play with like I did at my last home... I'm just glad that I don't have to stay in a kennel anymore waiting for someone to pick me up. I think my hair got burnt to a crisp, but my mama's giving me this new food that's supposed to be real healthy and she puts conditioner on me when I take baths, and I've been real soft ever since.
When I first got to the new place, they kept trying to get me to play with the pink tennis ball, but I wasn't very interested. I liked the chicken nylabone so much better! But now the tennis ball is my favorite! Mom doesn't like playin' rough so much, but she'll throw the ball for me to chase. I get so excited, sometimes I look like a lil tornado runnin' around with a ball in mouth. That reminds me, where is that ball anyways? well gotta go look for it!
