Well my friends, I gave it the good fight, but my old body just wore out. I just turned 13, and for a Husky that's a good run. My back legs stopped working and they think I may have had a stroke. Mom and Dad were devastated for me to leave bu they knew it was the best choice for me.
So the last thing I remember was being at the vet with Mom and Dad, it must have been raining in there because Mom and Dad's faces were all wet. My favorite Doctor, Dr. Anderson was there and all my friends from Banfield. I got hugs and kisses and lots of scritches and cookies. Mom gave me a kiss and said to just relax and take a nap. The next thing I knew I was on this very comfy train with lots of cool drinks and snacks. There are a lot of dogs with me and some dogs with wings. They tell me they are dog angels and will tell us all about where we are and where we're going. My special angel is Molly. She said not to be afraid and when I get off the train I will be met by my sister Callie and brother Raffles and a bunch of friends just waiting to see me. My legs are working again, I can run and jump and I'm no pain. I'm me again. Angel Molly says we will be there soon. She's going to explain everything before we get there.
I miss Mom and Dad. But Molly says don't worry. I'll be with Callie and Raffles soon and they will show me how I can check in on Mom and Dad.
Thanks Mom and Dad. Don't be sad, you gave me a wonderful life. Molly says I'll be with you again one day.
Love you Maleka

Welcome to the Bridge sweet girl. Callie & Raffles knew of your coming & told all the Angels about you. Your family was very blessed to have had 13 wonderful years with you. But we know how much they are going to miss you & all the Angels will be helping watch over them. We are all awaiting that great day when our loved ones will be with us forever. Until then we are going to have lots of fun & many adventures.
All our love & prayers go out to your family Maleka.
Angel Kisses....Kiska & Family
Maleka, have fun running and playing at the bridge. A heads-up when playing with Kenny; he may be short, but he's sneaky! He'll nip at your ankles from underneath! And he is FAST!!
To your peeps from Mom: I know you've had a really tough time of it lately, losing Callie and Raffles and now darling Maleka. I have never been in your shoes, having to make a decision like that, but I hope that if I ever have to be (god forbid), that I will be as brave as you and your husband have been. All my love, Kieren xx.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Welcome to the bridge, Maleka.
I know Pongo has a big pawty planned, and Callie and Raffles are excited to shower you with love and show you around.
Your new bridge pals, Cookie and Rosie
We are truly sad, but we do understand your decision. You had many years with Maleka, so do treasure them as I have been doing of Kiara. I'm sure they are both running North of Rainbow Bridge and at night they are sleeping outside under the stars. Their preferred choice.
Rest in Peace Maleka... you've earned your wings proudly.
Wishing you peace, comfort and strength during this difficult time. Our thoughts are with you...
Romp happily across the bridge, Makela. I cried reading this- bawled, actually. I read about this on HH and just stopped by to give my support. My fiancee even cried when I read this to him. I like to think of it this way.. don't grieve for her death, celebrate that she lived 13 wonderful years with you.
I'm sorry you had to cross over, but you will be very happy there, and one of these days, all the humans and dogs you loved here will be there with you--only on that side of the bridge, you will nevef know pain or grief. My prayers are for your humans because they are going to really miss you!
I hope you are safe and your legs are helping you run free again.....
